Understanding Physics by DC Pandey

This is a series of books on Physics, designed with JEE in mind. It has a decent amount of theory and lots of questions, of all the types as asked in JEE. This set of 5 books will provide you more than sufficient practice. If you are a person who learns by solving questions, Understanding Physics is for you.

3

Principles of Physics by Halliday, Resnick & Walker

Principles of Physics by Halliday, Resnick & Walker

Imagine a book by foreign authors for Undergraduates in Physics. With theory understandable even by highschool students. Presenting before you, Principles of Physics. This is THE book you want if you want to study Physics theory. It covers the entire JEE syllabus, and much more. The authors make it engaging and make Physics interesting. It makes even the trickiest concepts easy to understand. However, as I said, the book is not for JEE. It contains a lot of extraneous theory, and almost no JEE oriented questions. I recommend it only as a reference book, use it for checking out a concept you have difficulty in.

4

Cengage Exam Prep Series

Cengage Exam Prep Series

Cengage is a leading publisher of competitive exam books. This series by multiple authors is highly recommended for all students. It contains complete theory and detailed solutions for problems, which are of all types and patterns. However, I suggest that you decide to keep a pattern in solving the problems, ex solving only the odd ones or the even ones so that you get a sense of fulfillment as well. You can always solve more if you need to, Cengage books have more than enough questions.

5

Coordinate Geometry by SK Goyal

Coordinate Geometry by SK Goyal

Coordinate Geometry is an important topic for JEE Mathematics. JEE asks multiple questions from it almost every year. If you want a book that has easy to understand theory, derivations, problems with detailed solutions, and quick tips and tricks, this book hs you covered. You will be able to learn Coordinate Geometry in-depth and apply concepts to even the trickiest of questions if you have solved this book diligently.

6

Differential and Integral Calculus by Amit Agrawal

Differential and Integral Calculus by Amit Agrawal

This is a set of two books on Calculus, a topic that requires a lot of practice and often has difficult questions in JEE. Don't worry though, these books are highly recommended if you want to make Calculus your strongest topic. With only need-to-know theory and a large number as well as a variety of solved and unsolved examples, the book will allow you to gain confidence in Calculus problems in JEE. Answers are provided within the book itself, and it also has very few errors. Again with the large number of questions in these books, you should solve the questions in a pattern so that you can feel that you have "completed" a chapter, but still get sufficient practice.
