Top 5 Things to Do in Seminyak Not to Miss – Elegant and Hipster Bali!

Unlike the infamous and notoriously exciting Kuta, Seminyak is where you go in Bali if you want to have a good time but in a way that is both elegant and hipster at the same time. Just half an hour's drive from Bali Airport, Seminyak is a great beach resort destination with plenty of things to do.

1

Hit Seminyak or Double 6 Beach

The main purpose of staying at any of the Seminyak hotels and spending time in Bali is for the spectacular calm blue seas and powder-sand beaches. Double Six Beach is one of the better beaches that you can visit where there are beach bars, plenty of sunbathing and sea-bathing options and you can try some kite flying with the kids milling about if you are in need of company. There are also plenty of restaurants along the beach so you can comfortably spend the whole day lounging on the beach if you'd like that.

2

Learn How to Surf

Seminyak and Double Six Beach are both great places to learn some surfing as there are waves for every level of surfer. Thanks to the fact that Seminyak is not as busy as other beaches in Bali where people go surfing, you will have plenty of room to perfect your wave catching. Do some research online and find out where you can book a couple of surf lessons if you are an amateur.

3

Practice Yoga

You don't have to go to Bali just to have a good time, you can also use the time to allow your body to relax and find itself on the path to a more conscious lifestyle. Why not take up yoga while you are in Seminyak? There are some fantastic yoga studios in the vicinity where you can sign up for a class or two for the extent of your stay in Bali. You can also speak to the front desk at hotels the likes of Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach and they will be able to arrange a private yoga tutor to visit you at your hotel room. Some hotels offer this service for free as part of a stay package.

4

Join a Cooking Class

The best way to learn more about a country is to engage with its cuisine at an intimate level. That means going beyond just eating Balinese food, it means learning how to cook Balinese food. There are many cookery classes that you can sign up for either independently or through your hotel. You will be taught how to create authentic Balinese flavours by your own hands.

5

Take a Food Tour

Don't limit yourself to just cooking. Go out and taste the food at restaurants and beyond, at a street food stall, the markets and at local homestays. Let your taste buds get used to the flavours. There are some fantastic food tours which will take you through a culinary journey that you won't be forgetting in a hurry.
