Adelaide is home to a myriad of unique and bohemian boutiques, shopping centres and malls that are just as fun to explore as its sights and recreational areas. Adelaide is truly a shopper's delight. With many colourful buildings that date as far back as the 19th century.

Rundle Mall

Rundle Mall is where you should begin your journey around shopping malls. There are 700 retailers in one of the most pedestrian-friendly strip areas in Adelaide. Adelaide is usually a very busy and bustling city and Rundle Mall is as busy as the city. The mall has recently had a grand makeover and looks sleek and modern. There are 15 arcades and many famous supermarkets and department stores making it one of the largest shopping malls you would come across in the city.

Rundle Street

Folks in Adelaide refer to Rundle Street as Rundle Mall's younger sibling. It is smaller and less bustling so if you are not in the mood to jostle around with crowds, this is the place for you. There are some fabulous boutiques where you can get the high-end clothing you are looking for and there are also trendy cafés, pubs and restaurants. The Palace Nova Cinema is another perfect spot to fill your stomach while in the middle of shopping.

King William Road

You can take a quick drive from a local hotel like Oaks Glenelg Liberty Suites and head off to King William Road which is located on the exclusive southern edge of the city. There are first-class designer clothes boutiques homewares, jewellers as well as extremely good restaurants. You will also find plenty of salons and spas if you want to take a break from shopping and get some treatment for your arms.

Norwood Parade and Magill Road

Norwood Parade and Magill Road is just 10 minutes' drive from any Glenelg holiday accommodation. The cosmopolitan area is full of great pubs, an interesting café culture as well as many very different and distinct popular restaurants. There are 250 retailers in the bustling main street. Some of the shops are rather unique and contain exciting antiques that make for a great time window shopping.

Burnside Village Shopping Centre

Adelaide's most luxurious shopping centre is believed to be Burnside Village Shopping Centre. It is glamourous and gigantic with clear architecture that brings out a clean and spacious atmosphere. There are over a hundred international and Australian brands which have boutique and flagship stores within this mall. There are two gorgeous atriums with full glass ceilings and a range of state-of-the-art cafés that serve delicious Australian coffee. You wouldn't find anything amiss if you happen to bump into a celebrity while you are shopping here. It is also an excellent spot to take as many Instagram photos as you want because the glamour and sleek design would look pretty dressed up in the natural light that filters through all that glass.
