Cinderella (1950)

Directed by Clyde Geronimi, Wilfred Jackson, Hamilton Luske. With Ilene Woods, Eleanor Audley, Verna Felton, James MacDonald. When Cinderella's cruel stepmother prevents her from attending the Royal Ball, she gets some unexpected help from the lovable mice Gus and Jaq, and from her Fairy Godmother.

Beauty and the Beast (1991)

Directed by Gary Trousdale, Kirk Wise. With Paige O'Hara, Robby Benson, Richard White, Jerry Orbach. Belle, whose father is imprisoned by the Beast, offers herself instead and discovers her captor to be an enchanted prince.

Sleeping Beauty (1959)

Directed by Clyde Geronimi. With Mary Costa, Bill Shirley, Eleanor Audley, Verna Felton. A snubbed malevolent fairy casts a curse on a princess that only a prince can break, with the help of three good fairies.

The Little Mermaid (1989)

Directed by Ron Clements, John Musker. With Rene Auberjonois, Christopher Daniel Barnes, Jodi Benson, Samuel E. Wright. A mermaid princess makes a faustian bargain with an unscrupulous seahag in order to meet a human prince on land.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937)

Directed by William Cottrell, David Hand, Wilfred Jackson. With Roy Atwell, Adriana Caselotti, Lucille La Verne, Harry Stockwell. Snow White, pursued by a jealous queen, hides with the Dwarfs; the queen feeds her a poison apple, but Prince Charming awakens her with a kiss.

The Princess and the Frog (2009)

Directed by Ron Clements, John Musker. With Anika Noni Rose, Bruno Campos, Keith David, Oprah Winfrey. A fairy tale set in Jazz Age-era New Orleans and centered on a young woman named Tiana and her fateful kiss with a frog prince who desperately wants to be human again.

The Princess Bride (1987)

Directed by Rob Reiner. With Cary Elwes, Mandy Patinkin, Chris Sarandon, Robin Wright. A classic fairy tale, with swordplay, giants, an evil prince, a beautiful princess, and yes, some kissing (as read by a kindly grandfather).

Ever After: A Cinderella Story (1998)

Directed by Andy Tennant. With Drew Barrymore, Anjelica Huston, Dougray Scott, Patrick Godfrey. The "real" story of Cinderella. A refreshing new take on the classic fairy tale.

Princess Protection Program (TV 2009)

Directed by Allison Liddi-Brown. With Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, Nicholas Braun, Molly Hagan. When a tiny country is invaded by a dictator, a young Princess (later known as Rosie) is taken into custody by the Princess Protection Program. She is whisked away to rural Louisiana where she must learn the ins and outs of behaving like a normal American teenager.

The Princess Diaries (2001)

Directed by Garry Marshall. With Julie Andrews, Anne Hathaway, Hector Elizondo, Heather Matarazzo. Mia Thermopolis has just found out that she is the heir apparent to the throne of Genovia. With her friends Lilly and Michael Moscovitz in tow, she tries to navigate through the rest of her 15th year.

The Swan Princess (1994)

Directed by Richard Rich. With Jack Palance, Howard McGillin, Michelle Nicastro, Liz Callaway. A power hungry sorcerer transforms a princess into a swan by day in this tale of everlasting love.

The Swan Princess: Escape from Castle Mountain (1997)

Directed by Richard Rich. With Michelle Nicastro, Douglas Sills, Jake Williamson, Christy Landers. The first wedding anniversary of Princess Odette and Prince Derek is distracted by field fires set by Knuckles. His master Clavius, wants to conquer the world, and he needs to capture a giant orb to do that.

The Swan Princess: The Mystery of the Enchanted Treasure (1998)

Directed by Richard Rich. With Michelle Nicastro, Brian Nissen, Katja Zoch, Joseph Medrano. The royal couple Odette and Derek face yet another evil magician, this time a woman named Zelda. Lusting for the treasure of the Forbidden Arts, which will give her absolute power, Zelda kidnaps Odette as ransom.

Dora Saves the Snow Princess (TV 2008)

Directed by George S. Chialtas, Allan Jacobsen, Henry Madden. With Caitlin Sanchez, Regan Mizrahi, Matthew Gumley, Vanessa Aspillaga. It's up to Dora and her friends to save La Princesa Sabrina from the mean witch who locked her into a tower and stole her magic crystal, and now the Snow Forest is melting!

The Princess and the Cobbler (1993)

When Tack upsets Zigzag the Vizier, the wizard drags him off to the royal castle, where Princess Yum Yum falls for the bashful boy and saves him from execution. Unfortunately, Zigzag plans to marry the princess in order to succeed her father, King Nod.

Princess Caraboo (1994)

Directed by Michael Austin. With Jim Broadbent, Phoebe Cates, Wendy Hughes, Kevin Kline. Bristol, England, early 19th century. A beautiful young stranger who speaks a weird language is tried for the crime of begging. But when a man claims that he can translate her dialect, it is understood that the woman is a princess from a far away land.

The Princess Castle (Video 1996)

Directed by Diane Eskenazi. Like a lot of seven-year-old girls, Claire dreams of being in a faraway land. One day she is looking after her little sister Caitlin when the two sisters find a secret door under the stairs. Inside, Claire and Caitlin find an enchanted trunk, a magical locket and an invitation that whisks them away to a magical kingdom.

Ella Enchanted (2004)

Directed by Tommy O'Haver. With Anne Hathaway, Hugh Dancy, Cary Elwes, Joanna Lumley. Ella is under a spell to be constantly obedient, a fact she must hide from her new step-family in order to protect the prince of the land, her friend for whom she's falling.

Enchanted (2007)

Directed by Kevin Lima. With Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, Susan Sarandon. A classic Disney fairytale collides with modern-day New York City in a story about a fairytale princess who is sent to our world by an evil queen. Soon after her arrival, Princess Giselle begins to change her views on life and love after meeting a handsome lawyer.
