Marina Bay is beautiful and modern and will hold the children in absolute awe. Especially if you take them over to the Gardens by the Bay which is a futuristic vertical garden of domed conservatories as well as a children's garden where the kids can enjoy themselves. The gardens are said to celebrate Singapore's multicultural Malay, Chinese and Indian backgrounds and there's also a man-made cloud forest that you can explore in the vicinity.
The colonial district is home to Fort Canning Park, the National Museum of Singapore, Mint Museum of Toys and the Singapore Philatelic Museum. You can visit the large green swathe in the middle of the city that is Fort Canning Park. While the slopes can be a little dangerous for very small children make sure they are supervised. The National Museum and Mint Museum of Toys are perfect places to take your children.
Located a little away from Grand Park City Hall which is considered to be one, if not the best luxury hotel in Singapore, Orchard Road is mostly a fashion district. There are massive shopping malls where you can take your children to get them their latest shoes or clothes. But you don't have to stay there long as it is also in proximity to the Singapore Botanic Gardens. The Botanic Gardens are a UNESCO World Heritage site and a great place to learn all about plants, especially for children.
Chinatown is famous for some of the hawker centres that were recently made famous to the western world through Crazy Rich Asians, but the hawker centres have been around for generations and your children will utterly love the food served there. You can also do a little souvenir shopping while you are there whilst introducing your children to a myriad of new flavours.
Western Singapore is where you will find the Singapore Science Centre, Snow City, Jurong Bird Park and many theme parks where your children will not only get an education on various important things but also have a tremendous amount of fun. Snow City is great for kids who have never seen snow before, the Science Centre will teach them about science memorably and interactively and the bird park is just so fascinating at the same time being an experience that your children won't easily forget. The Singapore Discovery Centre is another place you can take the kids to. It is a highly interactive and has education programmes on a variety of things including the Army Museum, a 3D cinema and more importantly a crisis simulation theatre which would be something the children won't experience anywhere else.
