Taking place every Friday, the Taman Puteri Wangsa night market is a great place to hunt for street food. Located in a strategic place with many properties nearby such as AEON Permas Jaya Shopping Centre and Anantara Desaru Coast Residences, it is considered one of the finest night markets in Johor. If you're in Johor Bahru on a Monday evening, make sure to visit the JB KSL night market which is located near the KSL Shopping Centre. The most popular night market on Saturday, Taman Ungku Tun Aminah is also the largest Pasar Malam in Johor Bahru. It is also known as Queen's night market in Malay, and Pasar Malam Saturday for obvious reasons. A range of essentials from household goods and everyday clothes to a delicious an inviting array of street food is sold at this market. There are more than five stalls dedicated to carrot cake alone! Keep your eyes peeled for the salt-baked chicken and smelly tofu which is all the rage here.

Pasar Malam Johor Jaya

Lying within a driving distance to many Desaru Malaysia attractions, Pasar Malam Johor Jaya is best known for its mobile kueh stall. It is so famous that the kueh stall gets emptied under two hours. To get your hands on some of these delectable bites, be there around 4 in the evening. Savory lovers can also get their fair share of delicacies at this location with dishes including roasted duck, and a variety of marinated satays.
