Most Beautiful Singapore Gardens and Parks – Green initiatives not to be missed

David Attenborough in his 2016 Planet Earth II series has listed Singapore as a city with a leading environmentally friendly charge. No matter how densely populated Singapore is, they have managed to arrange many parks and gardens, and here are a few of them.

1

Gardens by the Bay

It's the most famous garden that guests at one of the Clarke Quay hotels in Singapore do not miss to visit during their holidays. Make a trip up to the OCBC Skyway which connects two very tall Supertrees in the Supertree Grove to get bird's-eye view of the park at large. You may also visit the Flower Dome, Cloud Forest Conservatories, and Heritage Gardens which all have unique surprises to make you amazed. However, although the entrance to the park is free, you will have to pay to see each of its exhibits.

2

Singapore Botanic Gardens

If you spend your vacation at a property the likes of Park Hotel Clarke Quay, why don't you just have a visit to the oldest park the country has? It's the Singapore Botanic Gardens which was established in 1859. There are more than 10,000 varieties of plants for you to explore, and it's also one of the world-renowned orchid breeding centers that also has a research unit. It's a free thing to do in Singapore, and you shouldn't miss it at any cost.

3

East Coast Park

Spanning over a land area of 457 acres, East Coast Park is considered the largest park in Singapore. One of the best ways to explore the coastline of this park is by cycling, and you will surely enjoy every bit of it. You don't have to worry about taking a bicycle for this purpose, as there are several bicycle rental shops throughout the park from which you can hire the one you prefer.

4

MacRitchie Reservoir Park

Are you a nature lover? Then you are sure to fall in love with this park. This park has an impressive hiking trail, and guess what? It also consists of a Tree Top Walk and a walk along a suspension bridge. Since this park is located around the largest reservoir in Singapore, you can also expect do enjoy canoeing and kayaking too. Keep in mind when you visit this park that you'll have to carry water bottles and snacks as you will not come across any shops during your travel.

5

Fort Canning Park

This park is special because of its location and the elevation. Fort Canning Park is a hill in the middle of the city, but as a park, it covers only a small piece of land. Fort Canning has originally been the home for Sir Stamford Raffles (who is considered the founder of modern Singapore) and then has been the headquarters of the British Army during World War II. However, today it is a favourite spot among the runners, and quite eventful because they organise many festivals and concerts here frequently.
