You can also visit the local islands that are inhabited and get a look into the everyday life of the Maldivians. Keep in mind that you will have to obey the Islamic law which does not subject the resort islands when you are among the Maldivian people. You can also take a traditional boat cruise to watch the sunset from the sea and take part in conservation projects such as the ones for turtles.
