Must-Visit Shopping Malls in Vietnam – For that overseas shopping spree

The city of Ho Chi Minh is one of the most wonderful places to visit in Vietnam and there are many reasons for this. But this article focuses on everything shopping in the city with various malls that just happen to be located within easy reach no matter which attractions you will be visiting.

Vincom Centre

This mall comprises of two buildings, Vincom Centre A and Vincom Centre B. Vincom Centre A is a lovely French-style building where you will be able to find homeware, high-end brands such as Hermes, Hugo Boss and Ralph Lauren and electronics of all kinds. Vincom Centre B has a more modern approach and occupies about 7 stories with a glass front. Here you will find sportswear, street brands and homeware. Vincom Centre also offers some of the best restaurants in town like Seoul Garden, Carl's Jr, and Tous Les Jours Bakery. The game floor has facilities for air hockey, basketball hoops, dodge cars and much more.

Saigon Square

Not far from Benh Thanh market, Saigon Square is a two-storey shopping mall with plenty of bargain items to choose from. Walk in and you'll see aisles and aisles of clothing for men and women, jewellery, swimwear, shoes, bags, luggage and textiles. The prices on the tags are higher than you'd expect it to be, but you can always bargain here without and issue. It is advised that you browse around the mall a little before settling on a price and an item from a certain place.

Diamond Plaza

Diamond Plaza is conveniently located close to many attractions such as Saigon Central Post Office, 30-4 Park and Notre Dame Cathedral. Therefore, it is quite hard to miss, especially with its beautifully refurbished colonial-style structure. Diamond Plaza consists of over four stories filled with apparel outlets, toys, cosmetics and other accessories. If you are looking for brands such as Crabtree & Evelyn, Coach, Estee Lauder, Levi's, PUMA, Lego, Samsonite and Converse, this is the place to be. felling a little hungry? Well, there is a whole food court here with many restaurants for choice, so hop in. Also, if you are up for some entertainment, try the bowling alley, cinema or kids' playroom.

Takashimaya Vietnam

This is the very first Japanese shopping mall to set up in the country with a shopping space of about 15 000 square feet. The mall caters to the upper- and middle-class shoppers and offers various Japanese, US and European brands for sale.

Parkson Plaza

There are several outlets of this shopping mall throughout the country, Parkson Plaza situated down Le Thanh Ton Street in District 1 is the most famous. Just behind Vincom B, this mall is an international level department store with cosmetics and perfumes being sold on the ground floor, clothing and fashion for women and men on the second and third floors and homeware on the fourth. If you are planning to come to Vietnam on a shopping spree, the best place would be Ho Chi Minh city, Hoi An. Where to stay? That will not be an issue with many hotels like Citadines Pearl Hoi An situated close to many malls.
