searching for people to follow especially on twitter can be a nightmare to contend with and it doesn't make the task any easier to do. search bar needs more filters, tags in particular. search in terms of country, status, occupation, age to name.
shortening web site links and leaving more room to tweet a few more characters in your message.
boo! twitter really needs to do something to curb the out-tages and over-status messages, which seem to interrupt and ruin the twitter experience.
locked out of Twitter and not being able to tweet for tweeting more than 100 times in an hour is absurd. it defeats the purpose of using twitter. itself.
it would be cool to be able to make your own twitter background on the main website or on tweetdeck, seesmic or whatever twitter app you use.
when you or someone else logs onto twitter, there will be a red light telling you they are on-line as of now on their page and on the right hand side underneath following, followers there will be pics of people on-line with the red light next to their user-name.
this will also tell you who is tweeting or using twitter as of now.
i don't understand why it is here- if there is something you don't want people to know on twitter, then don't post it.
it would get rid of the backlog of inactive users or accounts that have less than 10 tweets, or be it no tweets posted.
i like the re-tweet button, however most people on twitter don't. i think this needs to be improved more by making sure RT'd tweets DO end up in your Retweets box, which is where people should be directed towards in finding them. if not on your twitter profile page, which it should do as well.
another idea would be to have another section where it lists or suggests other users to follow based on the people YOU follow on twitter on your page. this includes their profile pic/avator. you can decide where to follow them or not.
