Attractions in Qatar – Places that you shouldn’t be missing in Qatar

When you are travelling in Qatar, there are some places that you should not miss visiting. Some of them have historical values, and some have quite impressive cultural values. While some of the places are free to explore, some will require you to pay an entry fee.

1

Museum of Islamic Art

This museum not just houses artistic masterpieces of Qatar. Instead, it houses Islamic art from three continents of the world. Isn't that quite impressive? The museum reveals a lot about the skills and the creativity of Muslims in the ancient past, and for the benefit of Muslim visitors, the museum also has a separate prayer room to engage in their prayers.

Souq Waqif

It is an interesting area with almost everything that you need. You have restaurants, cafes and shops all in one area. If you are spending your Qatari vacation at Souq Al Wakra Hotel Qatar by Tivoli, you are exposed to a similar experience. That is, you have the beach, the shopping malls and the best of all restaurants in Wakra in one place positioned not so far away to each other. But the difference is, the buildings you come across in Souq Waqif are old fashioned and they reveal how the old Qatari village styles must have been.

Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Stadium

This is an internationally recognized attraction that is loved by sports lovers from all around the world. This stadium has 21 tennis courts and Qatar has produced more numbers of international tennis players ever since this stadium was established. So, if you get a chance to witness how huge and sophisticated this stadium is, just do not miss the chance because it's really a privilege!

Villaggio Mall

Welcome to the biggest shopping mall in Doha- the Villaggio Mall! It is also the most famous shopping mall among the locals and the tourists because it has all the international brands of everything in it. Shopaholics love this place, not only because they get to engage in some sophisticated shopping, but also because they get exposed to an impressive variety of food options at its food court. For entertainment, they have movie theatres, Gondola theme parks (for kids) and an awesome Gondola ride that the adults also can try out.

Katara Cultural Village

It's truly a very traditional souq! This cultural village has a community of very creative and artistic people and it also houses some of the most unique artworks in the city. If you are someone who loves art, you should definitely pay a visit to this cultural village, because it really refreshes your senses. The main hubs of the Qatar Photographic Society, Music Academy, Qatar Fine Arts Society and the Visual Arts Centre are located in this village, located not so far from each other. Among the most visited attractions in this village are also the open amphitheatre that provides seating facilities for 5000 people, the drama theatre and the beach area of around 1.5km.
