General English is our most popular course to learn English and improve your English. Our teachers design interactive and stimulating classes with clear aims and outcomes, all at our school here in West London.
We teach all levels including beginner English, advanced English and proficiency. You can also choose to combine General English with IELTS exam preparation, First certificate in English or Advanced Certificate in English.
All our general English classes are based on the communicative approach. This means there is a strong focus on speaking and listening skills, as well as reading, writing, pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary.
Because the classes are learner-centered, you are given the opportunity to practice everything related to language with students from all over the world. Our Academic Team select relevant and interesting coursebooks that change each term (12 or 13 weeks for full-time courses and 25 weeks for part-time courses) to ensure you receive a variety of language input.
Our General English + IELTS course is for students who need to improve their English level and take an IELTS exam at the end of their course, for example to study in higher education.
Students on our General English + IELTS course study General English every day in the morning, and prepare for the IELTS exam on three afternoons every week, for a total of 24 hours of study per week. It is a great course for students who want to achieve a certificate of English while living in London.
Our General English classes are based on the communicative approach. This means you learn English with a strong focus on speaking and listening skills, as well as reading, writing, pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary. In the IELTS lessons, we fully prepare you for the IELTS exam so that you can achieve your target score. Our teachers design the classes to provide you with the essential preparation and practice you need to succeed, with exam strategies and techniques to help you pass each part of the test.
Our General English Intensive course is a full-time course for students who would like to learn English in the morning and afternoon. Students on our General English Intensive course study every day in the morning, and on three afternoons every week, for a total of 22 hours of study per week.

The Cambridge Exams: First Certificate of English, Advanced Certificate of English and Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency are right for you if:

This course has been designed to fully prepare you for the B2 First, C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency test to achieve your best possible result. The tests are almost identical but, because they are at different levels, we have separate classes. The strategies and techniques you will learn are intended to help you get the score you need in each part of the test.

The classes are for anyone that wants to improve their knowledge in business skills as well as gain more confidence in workplace situations such as giving presentations, negotiating and attending meetings. If you want to learn more about the business world to help you succeed at work, this is the course for you.
As the maximum size of the class is 6, the teacher designs the lessons specifically around the precise needs of the group. Students who attend may already live and work in London or might just want something different from an English class. The class is based on a communicative approach, incorporating grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation into speaking, listening, writing and reading.

Our summer school is an action-packed learning adventure for young learners, which gives them the best chance to have fun and learn during their time in London. This course is a perfect combination of communicative English lessons with cultural activities and excursions to create an exciting and unforgettable summer by experiencing British life and making, new international friendships.
The programme has been developed to allow students to use their current language skills, imagination and creativity in project work, class discussions and fun activities. Students will learn and practise new language in a dynamic way through music, video, visuals and technology.

Topics include practical skills like preparing for an interview, how to agree and disagree, giving and responding to opinions, being discrete, idioms, informal everyday language, practicing pronunciation, chatting with others in London, making suggestions and negotiating.

Private English tuition is so specific that you can work on any skills you need. The topics and skills covered in the English lesson can be decided by you or suggested by your teacher.
Based on your needs and wants, your English teacher will design a course plan with you to develop a personal program for learning English with the exact language skills you need, at a pace appropriate to you.
There are two options for private tuition:
1 to 1 lessons: A class with just you and the teacher. Open to any level of English.
Small group: A class with you and up to 3 other students. Open to any level of English but you must all be a similar level with a similar goal (e.g. to pass the IELTS exam).
