Koh Phangan, List of Beaches – 8 Best Beaches You Must Visit!

Despite becoming more popular in recent years, Malibu Beach still remains somewhat empty during the off-season in Thailand. There's a cute little bar that plays reggae music, white powder sand and plenty of palm trees.

The water is always crystal clear and great for a lazy swim. And there is a breath-taking view of the mountains of Koh Phangan stretched out to a part of your horizon.

Haad Seekantang is also known as Leela Beach. It is located on the southeast side of Koh Phangan by the secluded village of Haad Rin. While the road leading to the beach isn't the best there is, it is quite worth it just to get there and it's easy to find compared to some of the other beaches we have on the list.

Also known as Full Moon Beach, this is the kind of beach that a Koh Phagan resort will advertise thanks to its spectacular beauty. The beach is famous also for its monthly parties that are quite infamous in the beach circles as it tends to leave the beach in complete disarray. Thankfully, recent efforts have ensured that there are ample trashcans and tourists are expected to do their bit and clean up after them leaving to an unpolluted beach.

Tourists staying at the luxurious resorts on the island like Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan Villas, gravitate towards the more popular beaches, but located on the northeast of the island is Thong Nai Pan Yai which has two beaches and a new road that makes for easy driving. The small beach is packed with resorts, but the longer beach is almost empty and clean.

One of the better-known beaches in Koh Phangan is Bottle Beach or Haad Khuat. The beach is not too crowded despite its fame and is the perfect location to go swimming out into the sea.

Located north of the island, Haad Khom is the beach that is situated close to Chaloklum village. The beach is labelled Coconut Beach and is always empty and makes for a perfect location to shoot some beautiful Instagram shots.

Because the beach of Haad Mae Haad is so vast, its easy to feel like you and your significant other are the only people there, even if it isn't really the case. There are some beachfront bungalows, a restaurant and some massage parlours located along the waterline and this is what attracts a lot of people to this beach.

Adjacent to it is Koh Ma; a smaller beach that gives you extensive views of Koh Phangan and Haad Mae Haad.

The final beach on our list is Haad Salad named for the local village. The resident resorts aren't popular with tourists and the beach is relatively small. The water is warm and clear like glass with a fine white sandy beach perfect for a slow beach day.
