Looking for something romantic to do with that special someone? Plan a moonlit cruise in Doha and sweep them off their feet! A cruise which includes dinner adds to the allure of this experience, while you do get regular sightseeing trips too. The sight of the glimmering cityscape and the reflection of the moon on the water make for a truly mesmerising sight indeed.
While it may not be open until very late, Aqua Park Qatar is still an ideal place to have some fun in the water at night. One of the most popular family attractions in Doha, this water park will spoil you for choice; it features lots of thrilling slides, flumes and water tubes along with a giant wave pool and a lazy river. It's even home to the first surfing / skim-boarding half-pipe ride on the planet!
A popular destination, Souq Waqif is a historic attraction where you can enjoy some retail therapy. Located next to Al Najada Doha Hotel by Tivoli, this well-known souq offers a more traditional shopping experience; most shops are open till around 10 pm and you can look forward to buying Qatari garments, souvenirs, Bedouin weaving, carpets, dried fruit, spices, handicrafts and more. There are shisha lounges and restaurants here too, ideal when you want to have dinner or just unwind.
Open till midnight on most days, the Qatar Bowling Centre is an excellent place for some late night fun be it with family or friends. Within easy reach of some of the best hotels in Doha, it features a whopping 32 lanes and lets you share the joys (and competitive spirit of course!) of ten-pin bowling which can be quite relaxing too.
For more fun at night, you can head to the Megapolis Entertainment Centre which is much like an indoor theme park. At this expansive site both the young and young at heart can look forward to hours of captivating activities; highlights include playing arcade games, trying virtual reality experiences or getting behind the wheel of car-racing simulators. There's even a bowling alley and rooms for karaoke too.
If you and your family or friends like puzzle solving or tackling a good mystery, then definitely try an escape game! This globally popular activity involves a group being locked-in a set space with clues hidden around that will lead to the final solution to help you "escape" the room. Such escape games can be enjoyed in Doha too at places like Scavenger Escape and Escapology which will make for a memorable night out.
