Water sports at Beruwala Beach

When this city has a picturesque beach with not so many people, who will say not to water sports here? The beach is called the Golden Mile Beach and is surely ideal for any kind of a water sport. Visit the Aluthgama Market

Aluthgama is a town that's so closely located to Beruwala. Aluthgama can be easily reached via tuk-tuk from most of the Bentota hotels, and then when you are there, the place you should go to is the Aluthgama Market. Make sure you do this on a Monday because the market is only open on Mondays. You will see many vendors trying to sell different types of edible products to the crowd, and this is one of the most authentic Lankan experiences ever.

Yes, the sea could be your go-to to spend all your joyful moments when you are in Beruwala, but give the Bentota Ganga (River) a chance to please you too. Visit the Kechimalai Mosque

Well, in Beruwala, there is a considerable proportion of the Muslim community in Sri Lanka, and among them, the Kechimala Mosque is a sacred place. Outside and inside this mosque, there are three tombs of the very first Muslims to land in the country and they are worshipped by the devotees. The Mosque is indeed an architectural marvel and you will surely fall in love with its tall structure once you see it. This mosque is one of the oldest mosques in Sri Lanka to date.
