Aluthgama is a town that's so closely located to Beruwala. Aluthgama can be easily reached via tuk-tuk from most of the Bentota hotels, and then when you are there, the place you should go to is the Aluthgama Market. Make sure you do this on a Monday because the market is only open on Mondays. You will see many vendors trying to sell different types of edible products to the crowd, and this is one of the most authentic Lankan experiences ever.

Outside and inside this mosque, there are three tombs of the very first Muslims to land in the country and they are worshipped by the devotees. The Mosque is indeed an architectural marvel and you will surely fall in love with its tall structure once you see it. This mosque is one of the oldest mosques in Sri Lanka to date.
