The sudden death of American Physicist Stephen Hawkings kept entire world in shock. He left everyone on 14th of March, 2018 at an age of 76.
Although most of us have been aware of his great works and inventions, yet there are some of the facts which you might not know about this great scientist.

During his school days, he was compared with the great Einstein and also nicknamed as Einstein by his fellow friends.
Hawking lost a bet to another physicist named John Perksil in the year 1997. The bet was on Balch holes and claimed that nothing can pass through it. He admitted his defeat in 2004.
During his schooling at St. Albans High school, he accompanied some of his friends and built a computer with an old telephone switchboard under his maths teacher.
It was Einstein’s birth anniversary, Hawkins left the world on exactly the same day. Even it was the same day as he was born on the 300th death anniversary of Galileo. Quite strange indeed!
As we all know, he was brought up in England and his accent is British. But it was strange that he used American accent in his speech synthesiser as his mechanical voice.
Hawking was literally brave enough as he accepted to do the Ice-bucket challenge as it was trending in 2014. But he was suffering with pneumonia, hence was unable to complete the challenge. On the same year 2014, the biopic English movie of Stephen was released with the name of The Theory of EverythingThe Theory of Everything, which was a big hit.
At the age of 21, Hawking was diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), a motor neuron disease and was suffering a lot to survive. His condition was so terrible that the doctors said he had only 2 more years to live.
He was in search for other inhabitable planets to look for any existence of human race outside our own world. To experience weightlessness, he even took a zero-gravity flight in the year 2007.
Hawking has a very unique love story. He fell in love with his sister’s friend, Jane Wilde while he was studying Phd at the Cambridge university. They eventually got married in the year 1965.
Hawking was blessed with a brilliant sense of humour. Once he was asked about the thing which seems mysterious to him the most. He answered it as ‘women’. Witty, isn’t it!
