Young artists will have an opportunity to use their imagination, and learn to use different art mediums. Children will explore their creativity in a fun and creative environment and be introduced to the elements of design. They will have an opportunity to explore drawing, painting, and sculpture. The young artists will explore nature and work outdoors on a canvass. Children will organize and participate in our very own RB Kids Art Show which will be displayed in the Atrium for all to see!
Young culinary students will learn some basic skills in the art of fine cooking and baking. These chefs will be baking a variety of tasty delights. We will have a special visit from a chef and also visit a working kitchen. In addition, we will plan a fun summer lunch picnic and enjoy many creative snacks!
This is a week that explores a wide range of outdoor experiences. Children will learn about wildlife and their habitat. They will create amazing wildlife art pieces and make some animal tracks. Children will also enjoy outdoor sports including soccer and other organized activities. Theme days and other special events will also be a part of this creative week.
Don’t miss this most exciting week, building and creating with great materials such as Lego, K’nex and much more! Children will plan both individual and group projects and will learn lots about shape, dimension, structure, colour, motion and other neat concepts. This week will be full of hands-on activities and creations. We will also spend time outside on community walks and doing fun activities. Finally, at the end of the week the children will display their projects for all to see in the Atrium!
Does your child love bugs, reptiles? Come and learn about the world of insects, bugs and other creepy crawlies with some unique fun and creative exploration. We will have a special visit to a local “bug expert” and will meet some special creatures! We will also be making some bug snacks, have lots of fun making bug crafts and playing bug-themed games!
Yeah! More cooking will be underway this week as well! Our young culinary students will continue to learn some basic skills in the art of fine cooking and baking. These chefs will be cooking some international delights. We will also be having a picnic with an international flavour. They will also learn about the areas of the world that the recipes originate from.
By popular request, we will offer a second week where children can access great building materials such as Lego, K’nex and much more! In this week, children will explore how motion is created and will build interesting projects that will be able to move using various forms of energy. There will be lots of experimentation and even a few races! Each day will include outside time and other fun learning/play based activities.
Come and explore the fascinating marvels of science and nature through curious investigations and interesting experimentation. Have the chance to participate in a variety of activities, creating bubbling concoctions to slimy mush as well as arts, crafts, and a special field trip!!!
Does your child love arts and crafts? We will offer extended opportunities for children to use their imagination and creativity using various materials, paints, and other crafty fun items. The children will organize and participate in our very own end-of-summer RB Kids Arts and Crafts Show which will be displayed in the Atrium for all to see!
