If you are a lover of history, you'd definitely love this side of Paramatta. The Old Government House here was initially built in 1799 by Governor John Hunter. It is in the middle of a delicately manicured garden. This block seems to be quite peaceful when compared to the other parts of Sydney. It has been a countryside home to 10 Governors since.
St John's Cathedral is yet another historical site worth your time. The premises have been used for religious purposes since 1799 and remained the only church in the colony till 1809. The church looks rather mysterious with two twin spires on either side.
