I will use these technology tools in my future classroom.
Kahoot! is a great game-based learning platform that allows students to compete against one another under a time limit while reviewing the material. Due to its flexibility and customization choices, Kahoot! displays all 4 C's and each letter of SAMR. I plan on using this program in my future classroom to help my students review for a test or to introduce a new subject, and to allow them to compete with one another.
MergeCube is an AR and VR product that engages students through a number of different programs. Merge Cube effectively displays Critical Thinking and Creativity through it allowing the user to explore and create in their own way and acts as an engaging Augmentation of viewing and interacting with a lesson. I will use this program in my future class to help further engage my students, and allow them to experience and explore on their own.
ClassDojo is an amazing program that allows the teacher and parents to stay connected with each other, and for the students to see personal and overall improvement and spark friendly competition
ClassDojo successfully displays all 4 C's and strong Communication and Collaboration. I plan on using this program to create small competitions and to stay connected parents.
Flipgrid is a platform that allows students to communicate what they have learned through video responses. FlipGrid successfully displays all 4 C's and Substitution and Modification. In my future classroom, I plan on using Flidgrid for my shy students, and as an alternate way of self-expression.
BrainPOP is an engaging and fun program that captivates students and provides simple to understand lessons and worksheets. BrainPOP efficiently displays Critical Thinking due to it challenging the students to a comfortable degree, and displays all tiers of SAMR. I plan on using this program in my future classroom to introduce a new subject and allow the student to work at their own pace.
Quizlet is a flashcard/ quiz-based program that allows the students and teacher to create and take quizzes as a form of review. Quizlet effectively displays all 4 C's and a strong form of substitution for paper-pencil methods. I plan on using his program in my future classroom to help review for a test.
Nearpod is an easy and interactive way of distributing a lesson, assignments, and/or material via a computer or digital device. Nearpod encourages collaboration between teacher and student and acts as a substitution and modification of how the material is taught and distributed. I plan to use this program for students who for some reason are unable to attend class.
Seesaw is a student-driven form of digital portfolios and simple parent communication. Seesaw provides resources for the child, parents, and teacher. This program shows the teacher the abilities of the child and displays critical thinking and communication. Seesaw also acts as a modification of how students are observed and assessed. I don't see myself using this in the future, but I do believe that it is a helpful tool.
Google Classroom helps students and teachers organize assignments, boost collaboration, and foster better communication and create their own personal digital classroom. Google Classroom effectively displays a 4 C's of SAMR due to it imitating an actual classroom, and displays a form of Substitution and Modification. I plan on using this platform if I am unable to meet with my class.
KhanAcademy is a platform that provides galleries worth of resources and information students.
KhanAcademy successfully displays Critical Thinking and as a Modification of how students seek resources. I plan on using this platform to provide accessible resources for my students and to improve their skills in different subjects.
