Located in the Pahiyangala area of Kalutara, the Fa Hien caves are a hiker's fantasy. The path to the caves is quite a challenging one passing through jungles and uneven paths. The hike is totally rewarding with breath taking views in the back drop and a better reward lies at the end of the hike. You can learn about the discovery of the caves and wander around the rocky roads and even see a 40-foot reclining Buddha statue at the focal point of the cave.
