There are many interesting things to do in Bangkok by night other than discovering its nightlife. Here are a few other ways to enjoy the vibrant Thai capital minus the nonstop partying.


Go for an evening cruise

Cruise along Chao Phraya River by night. The river in central to Thai life and watch this lively city light up as darkness descends. It may get touristy but a boat ride will be a worthwhile experience and you are bound to encounter some fantastic views of the city.


Explore local grub

Head to the streets to sample some of the best street food the city has to offer. Some of these delicacies are only available during the evening and later in the night. The best time to go scouting is between 7.00 pm and 12.00 am. Popular street food places include Chinatown, Ratchada and Samyan.


Rooftop bars

Savouring drinks at a rooftop bar in Bangkok is another must-have experience. Head to one of the many all over the city, and watch the city come alive under the cover of darkness.
