BrainPOP is a technology tool that allows students to watch videos on a subject and test what they learned after. Students can create concept maps, make a movie, work on worksheets, play games, and take a quiz to show that they learned something.
I would use this tool in my classroom to explain some subjects that I may not be very interested in or don't know how to make it fun.
Kahoot! is a game-based learning platform that brings engagement and fun to 1+ billion players every year at school, at work, and at home.
Kahoot allows people to create a question/answer game. Anyone can host a game, just send out a simple game code an let the fun begin.
I would use this in my classroom to help students prepare for a test or quiz. While it is used for fun purposes' it also helps test peoples skills.
Quizlet is a study tool that can be used by anyone to help them prepare for tests, quizzes, assignments, etc. You can use this in a browser or you can get the app. You can create flashcards to help study terms, and even add pictures and definitions.
I would use this in my classroom to create study guides for my students when there is a big test coming up.
Flipgrid empowers social learning in PreK to PhD classrooms around the world. Use video the way your students do.
Flipgrid allows students to record fun videos and post them on a page created by a teacher. These videos can be whatever the teacher assigns, and there are even cool filters students can use to add a little fun.
I would use this in my classroom to have the students introduce their self and tell me a little about what they enjoy. I could also have the students use it to explain their work, this way other students can see how their classmates did it, which may help them better understand.
