One of the most well-known countries for island adventures is Thailand. With a rich cultural and historical heritage, as well as bountiful forests, the country is a beacon calling out for those with adventure in their hearts and for those looking to escape into the beautiful wilderness.

Koh Tao & Koh Nang Yuan

A quick flight from a hotel in Asoke, such as the Avani Atrium Bangkok, this island is the perfect mix between the natural world, with its pristine beaches and vast swathes of rainforest, and the modernity and luxury afforded by the thriving night clubs and hotels. Many who visit tend to be honeymooners looking to enjoy the best of both worlds. People will spend their days typical, travelling along the beaten paths on the mountains to take in the fresh mountain air, the rustling leaves and grab a picture of the stunning view of the island below. Followed by this would typically be, weather permitting, a swim and then a night out on the city. This island is also one of the places where people can enjoy taking a swim in the company of the majestic whale sharks that wander in the surrounding waters.

One of the best places to go snorkelling and diving, this island boasts some of the best coral reefs in the region. These reefs are colourful and host a multitude of brilliant species that makes this a treat for anyone who chooses to dive into the crystal-clear beaches. One can also simply choose to relax by the beach and take in the sun but many people opt to indulge in the almost untouched natural beauty that the island has to offer.
