Though people think of just beaches and chilling in the sands of Bali usually, there is so much more to see on a holiday here, especially in terms of waterfalls.

Banyumala Waterfall

If you want to spend some time by the falls, and still avoid the crowd of tourists, then you might want to take a look at this spot. Located in the valley of one of the local Bali villages, this is a sight to see indeed. This waterfall is open from 7 am to 6 pm every day unless the weather is really bad or unsafe.

Nungnung Waterfall

Yet another beautiful cascade of waterworks you must check out in Bali, this is about 50 kilometres away from Denpasar. You will pass the most scenic views on your way to Nungnung, thus, the journey is worth it. This waterfall is open from 9 am to 4 pm every day and costs you less than a dollar to get in too. You can plan some fun picnic with the family and make a day trip out of it when you are holidaying in Bali with family, friends or your loved one.

Balhmantung Falls

Also known as the Pupuan falls locally, this is a beautiful waterfall in Bali and has a drop-down height of about 100 metres. The breathtaking views it offers is the major pull of this place. There are three separate cascades for you to take a look at while you visit these falls, and take your time to enjoy and explore everything they have to offer leisurely.

Gitgit Waterfall

Located in Singaraja, Bali, this waterfall is the most popular one of them all, and for good reason too. Falling down from a height of 35 metres, this gorgeous waterfall is surrounded by a lush green jungle. To get to the place, you have to go on a little bit of a hike, but it is not that hard to do. If you are put up at Bali resorts the likes of Anantara Uluwatu Bali Resort, getting to the spot would take you less than an hour.

Sekumpul Falls

If you are a lover and admirer of all things natural, this is a spot you definitely must not miss on your excursions in Bali. A collection of about 8 cascades makeup one huge fall and falls down from about 80 metres in height. To enjoy all the tiny falls separately, you can go on a hike in the path that takes you through them one by one. This place is open to visitors around the clock, and the entry fee to the place is less than $1.

Aling Aling Falls

Open from 8 am, this place is one of the best attractions of its kind in Bali. Home to a plunge pool, a strong spray and a natural water slide, Aling Aling attracts many visitors on a daily basis. Get there earlier during the day if you want to spend a bit of time since it shuts at 4 pm usually.
