Visit the Jim Thompson House

This is the former home of the late James Harrison Wilson Thompson, who was an American businessman who spent the better part of his young life dedicated to reviving the Thai Silk trade in the 1950s. This magnificent garden-enclosed compound comprises of 6 traditional Thai teakwood houses and sits on the bank of the Saen Saeb Canal. The house has been transformed into a museum and art centre that is dedicated to showcasing the proud Thai-silk culture of the country through a vivacious collection of Thompson's Asian antiques and Thai silk. This establishment is most certainly an architectural marvel and deserves to make the top of your to-do list of things in Siam!

Pay a Visit to the Pathum Wanaram Temple

The Pathum Wanaram Temple was initially built by King Rama IV in the year 1857 as a place of worship that would be located close to his Sa Pathum Palace.
