Sahej and Harsha’s story reiterates the age old saying that matches are made in heaven and it’s not just love stories that turn into marriage but also a marriage can start a great love story.
Harsha and Sahej decided to have a destination wedding in Pink City and their wedding pictures are simply majestic.
#Bridetobe Sahej looks gorgeous in her shimmering mauve lehenga and the groom Harsha looks dapper in his gold sherwani. It was a typical Sikh wedding and they chose a tranquil gurdwara in Jaipur for the wedding rituals.
Here are some of the exclusive pictures from their wedding beautifully captured by Luxmi Digital Studios, we just can’t wait to share with you.
Meet Sahej and Harsha.
“Even though our families have known each other for a long while, Akib & I incidentally met the first time at another wedding. What started off as a casual conversation became something more. Akib decided that I was the one for him and after we finished our studies asked his Dad to send the Rishta to my house! My father was also impressed by him and when he asked me to marry him, it just felt right to say yes! Though it was sort of arranged, we fell for each other so intensely that time stood still after. He isn’t just my husband, he is my support system. We knew from the start that this was it for us. We could never imagine otherwise.” Mehreen shares her story with us and we cannot help but notice how totally dreamy the pictures are and the couple, they’re so made for each other. After an informal engagement in 2015, a formal function along with the Nikah ceremony took place in Delhi on 22nd December 2016. Akib & Mehreen’s wedding celebrations were as joyous and beautiful as them. This ravishing duo celebrated their special day with close family and friends. The engagement ceremony happened at the Taj Mahal Hotel, Mansingh and was exemplified with pink roses and gold & ivory accents. Akib looked dashing in the Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna suit and Mehreen shines in this Anjalee & Arjun Kapoor peach gown. She went for a befitting hair do and her makeup was done by the celebrated artist Ambika Pillai. They posed for some vintage themed shots and looked glorious in this avatar. The fanciful cake was the star of the evening, of course after the bride & the groom.
You’d wonder why you need a fashion stylist at your wedding, those things are just reserved for fashion magazines and ramp shows, right? You’d be surprised.
You wedding isn’t less than a fashion show! Pretty ladies walking around dressed in their best, young men parading in their sleek hairstyles and dapper suits. Your wedding maybe the best place to show off your fashion quotient, so don’t hold back.
We are in conversation with Manisha Kundnani, a wardrobe consultant for brides and grooms while she spills the beans on the latest couple she styled – Anmol Bhojwani and Nishaa Tolani.
This super stylish couple just got married in Phuket in a gorgeous ceremony and we couldn’t help but notice how flawlessly they carried off the outfits. It surely made the pictures wonderful too!
Manisha styled the couple for their afternoon Mehendi brunch at The Slate. Keeping in mind that the event was an outdoor one, she made sure the outfits the bride and groom and selected were in sync with the weather.
“Nishaa wanted something minimalistic and at the same time, comfortable.”, Manisha says while she was helping the bride select something befitting. A Payal Khandwala Benaras silk pleated palazzo pants with a wrap around top along with a heavy pearl set from Minerali is what was chosen. Trying to go offbeat and step away from the traditional embroidered lehengas was the thought.
The stylist also mentions that it’s very important to keep the floral jewellery in mind since it’s a mehendi function. It needs to go with the outfit, otherwise it can be very out of place.
For the groom, a lovely printed green bandhgala in geometric print was ideal. This outfit from SVA couture complimented his jovial personality. He matched this outfit with open footwear from Joy Shoes, Taj Palace Hotel and the result was charming!

The most enthralling part about love is when it happens unexpectedly. When two completely people discover a way to overcome the stumbling blocks in their relationship and manage to work and build a glorious relationship. Falling in love is a matter of chance but creating a beautiful life, it’s in our hands. This is the story of Preeyanka and Arjun. As Preeyanka tells us “It was not love at first sight, but I knew the very moment I saw him that my life is sorted.” Preeyanka met Arjun’s mother before she met him after which their bond only grew stronger. Preeyanka’s adorable wedding announcement on Facebook is proof of their magical love.
What started of an as “arranged marriage” changed into an unbreakable bond of love for Birti and Japji. Though they had known each other since childhood, their love only blossomed when they were officially introduced to each other by their family. Their first meeting as adults was an awkward one, since they were set up. They had both flown into India from different places for this meeting. Birti is from Iran but was studying in Dubai at that time and Japji lived in Kuwait. The second time they met was when they actually realised that they had a lot to talk about and that day Birti was sure that it could work between with them. They decided to get married but most of their courtship period was a long distance one. During that time, they were both in India to attend a wedding and that’s when they got to know each other well and started planning the wedding. Their belief of “Less is More” is what drove their wedding planning. Besides the outfits and jewellery, most of the planning and arrangements were made by the family members which gave them more time together. Birti’s Pinterest boards is what came handy while planning the wedding in just four months! See the pictures for yourself of the happy couple!
