Port Louis is the capital of Mauritius and was first settled in 1735. The city was founded by the governor at the time Mahe' De La Bourdonnais. This amazing and picturesque port city retains much of its colonial charm and boasts a wide array of activities to entice both adults and children alike. There are three museums in the city which offer a fun-filled way for the kids to learn something new. The gardens were first created in the 1700s and house a wide variety of palms from across the world but are most famous for its giant water lilies. The gardens are expansive and there are plenty of places for the kid to explore also you might even run into a few cute critters while there.
