Lots of companies seem to be making some useful premium online resources free over the next couple of months. With everyone stuck in doors, I thought we should make a list.
During the COVID-19 crisis, we’re committed to supporting the community with complimentary access to Unity Learn Premium for three months (March 19 through June 20). Get exclusive access to Unity experts, live interactive sessions, on-demand learning resources, and more.
For as long as schools are closed, we're open. Starting today, kids everywhere can instantly stream an incredible collection of stories, including titles across six different languages, that will help them continue dreaming, learning, and just being kids.
All stories are free to stream on your desktop, laptop, phone or tablet.
Explore the collection, select a title and start listening.
Thank you for social distancing, an essential measure against the spread of COVID-19. We’re right there with you, from our youngest making conference call cameos to our teens announcing mere hours into self-quarantine that they are ready to go back to school.
With free access to Rosetta Stone for Students
We've all been affected by the COVID-19 outbreak, and, like you, we're all staying at home and making sure our families and loved ones are safe. We want to do our part to help.
Starting immediately, and for the foreseeable future, we're making Voltage Modular Nucleus FREE for everybody. It's a complete modular synthesis package, with 22 modules and over 130 presets, for OSX and Windows.
Special announcement
During the current COVID-19 crisis, JSTOR and our participating publishers are making additional content freely available to participating institutions where students have been displaced.
If you aren't a member of your local library, find out how to get membership. They have a lot of online resources, ebooks, magazines etc available for free. For example, I can get my weekly fix of new scientist, without leaving the house and absolutely free from my local library.
Not exactly free 'at the moment', as the basic accounts are always free (40 mins max call time with >2 participants), however, we're trialing using this with the family. Seems to work pretty well for group chats / party calls.
lots of free courses on openlearn.
Anyone can learn for free on OpenLearn, but signing-up will give you access to your personal learning profile and record of achievements that you earn while you study.
Following the Government’s decision to implement widespread school closures across the UK to minimise the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). We will be making The Maths Factor FREE for everyone (usually about £2 per week) to support childrens’ continued learning at home for the duration of the UK Schools closure period. We want to help you and your child as much as we can.

As schools worldwide close for now in response to COVID-19, you might be wondering how best to help your child or children with their studies at home.
Always happy to help, the White Rose Maths Team has prepared a series of five maths lessons for each year group from Year 1-8. We will be adding five more each week for the next few weeks. Every lesson comes with a short video showing you clearly and simply how to help your child to complete the activity successfully.
