What are Flange Nuts?

A flange nut is a type of nut which has a wide flange at one end which acts as an integrated washer. Made up of hardened steel and coated zinc, flange Nuts are used for a variety of applications, depending on the style purchased and has a hexagonal type shaped. To avoid damage to the part, this nut distributes the pressure of the nut over the part being secured.
