Tom Gionis Interviews

Thomas Gionis was born in Long Island, New York during the baby boom. After graduating from Oceanside High School, he accepted a scholarship to play collegiate football.  His athletic career was cut short by a knee injury, so Tom attended NYU, where he received a BFA degree in Film and Television production. Sponsored by the Long Island Tourism Commission, his senior film was a documentary entitled, “East of the Apple” a historical, panoramic travelogue of Long Island.

Thomas Gionis was born on Long Island. He came from a tough home and was raised by his grandparents who he considers to be his role models and rocks. They helped instill strong faith, values, and morals in him and they always taught Tom to respect his fellow man. Today Tom lives in Weston, Ct and still applies everything he learned growing up from his grandparents. His greatest joy in life is helping others in their time of need.

Tom Gionis is seeking his next opportunity, exploring the ever-changing mobile media industry. He acts as an adjunct professor at Fairfield University and Hofstra University and is involved with the morning news team at WPIX.
