Enjoy A Walk On Galle Face Green

Galle Face Green is a beautiful stretch of land facing the Indian Ocean. Located right smack in the city centre, this stretch of greenery was once the British Governors playground and a former horse racing track. The Green is now enhanced with a pier, and the up coming Port City project. Easy to reach from hotels in Colombo City, Galle Face Green is a where you can relax and let the sea breeze soothe away your cares. Visit The Colombo Museum

The Colombo Museum is one of the best in Asia. Located within a vintage Italian Villa, the museum boasts over 100,000 artefacts. There you can explore the lifestyles, clothing, armour and jewellery of past Sri Lankan kings. Discover stone-age weapons and utensils used on the island. Walk through the changes the island went through from colonial times to gaining independence, and marvel at some of the vintage artefacts, including a golden throne and elegant swords.

Chill At The Park

The Vihara Maha Devi Park is located in the middle of the busy city centre. Surrounded on all four sides by traffic blocked streets the park is a green oasis, that lulls you into a sense of calmness. You will forget about the hustle and bustle of the city as you walk the tree lined parks. Relax on a bench and watch the world go around and let water fountains, mini petting zoo and children's play area entertain.

The heart and soul of Colombo are Petta and Fort. You must go there for the hustle and bustle of a typical Asian city.
