Located right around the corner of the main part of Mozambique, this area of the country used to be a trading port for a few centuries. Right now, this island is a UNESCO World Heritage site and has a landscape that you can explore really quickly as is it is only about three kilometres in length and about 600 metres wide. Even though the place may sound small, there are many authentic and historic places for you to explore and while away time at, for instance, the European castle that was built in the year 1522.
