Top 5 Things to do in Singapore- Asia’s prime town!

Singapore, despite being a small country is bursting with attractions and never fails to disappoint! With skyscrapers, delightful cuisine and architectural wonders, there are many more to keep you interested.

1

Walk along the Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade

This walking path stretches about 3.5km and makes for a great recreational area for those who wish to wind down after a hectic day at work. The pathways are lined with mist sprays and motion-detecting fans to alleviate the heat of the country and treat the walker to a burst of refreshing cool air. How thoughtful is that? It brings together children, yogis, joggers and the tourists who engage in their own hobbies and activities in front of the picturesque backdrop of Marina Bay Sands. The pathway is open all day and night, every day. Check if there are any performances that might take place at the Promenade during your visit and plan accordingly. The Promenade is less than 15 minutes away from the Mount Faber Park and Travelodge Harbourfront.

2

Explore on a bumboat

A bumboat refers to the local, water taxis or small boats that provide transport across the waters. With only two companies providing this facility, it is quite an underrated experience. The taxi prices start at S$5 and cruises are priced at around S$25 thus making it rather affordable and worth it.

3

Visit Gardens by the Bay

A 101 hectare land in central Singapore that has been converted into a modern green space is the epitome of combining the urbanized theme of the country and its gardens have resulted in an awe-inspiring wonderland. Dubbed as the "City in a Garden", the venue attracts many locals and tourists. The Park is segregated into 3 sections- Bay East Garden, Bay South Garden and Bay Central Garden. Every day, there are light and sound shows that will leave you speechless. The Garden Rhapsody is a few minutes long free shows that light up the futuristic gardens in an array of colours along with the music. The best way to experience this is by sleeping on the floor and gazing as if you were star-gazing. It is a great idea for a low-key, date moment.
Do not miss the Flower Dome which has bagged the Guinness World Record in2015 for being the largest glass greenhouse in the world- a mandatory item in the things to see in Singapore list.

4

Visit the Chinatown

Singapore has many Chinese people who have been living here for a very long time and therefore, celebrate their presence and cultures. Chinatown is filled with traditional markets, old temples and quaint cafes where you can spend some time to rejuvenate yourself. It is here that you can get your hands on some unique and beautiful souvenir pieces to take back home. If you are interested in temples, visit the Buddha Relic Temple which showcases many artefacts that have been collected from all over Asia.

5

This is nicknamed as "Asia's Favourite Playground". Only 15 minutes away from the city centre, it is easily accessible. Everyone is guaranteed to have a blast here!
