Though it is not an offbeat attraction, this still makes the list as the Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque is one of the most culturally and spiritually significant landmarks in Abu Dhabi. Covering an area of over almost 13 acres, and with a holding capacity of nearly 40,000 people at a time, the Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque is the largest mosque in the UAE. The external part of the mosque has about 82 large domes, as well as 4 tall minarets, each standing 106 metres tall. The mosque is also known for its amazing architecture and interior design which includes elaborate Iranian carpets, magnificent chandeliers, large decorated pillars and columns, intricate wall carvings, and large indoor pools with sparkling water.
