Okavango Delta

This is a gigantic expanse of land that is covered with swamps and water. What is so amazing about this Delta is that it is home to the greatest wildlife migration in the world. Around 200,000 of these animals make their way towards this Delta every year from July till September. They do this to escape the baking heat of the Kalahari Desert. One can witness more than 150 reptiles and mammal species and more than 500 bird species too!

Chobe National Park

This National Park is located bordering Zambia and Zimbabwe. There are some fascinating things you can do in the town here. Although this town called Kansane can be quite uneventful throughout the year, there is something else that intrigues tourists to make their way here. On occasions, stray lionesses come to this town! Therefore, your adventure begins right at this town from where you will take a safari trip along the Chobe river that has an excellent collection of wildlife creatures to witness. Although this National Park might be not easily accessed you can take a direct flight here from places like Gaborone. There are many things to do in Gaborone and many safaris to visit too. You can check out properties like Avani Gaborone Resort & Casino to stay, for a centrally located property close to tourist spots.
