The Maldives has a vast coral cover and a top snorkelling destination; however, this happens to be the seventh-largest coral reef in the world. The Reserve has over 250 types of corals and home to over 1,200 species of fish. You can witness a range of marine life such as butterflyfish, angelfish, clownfish, moray eels, and dolphins. Endangered species frequent this reserve such as hawksbill turtles, green turtles, and tawny nurse sharks. The thriving biodiversity of above water flora and fauna includes mangroves, lizards, herons, fruit bats and many more.
