Doha is quite a small city by any standards but it is certainly packed with a lot of things to do and see. It is a luxurious city-state where you can have a lot of fun and have great experiences.

Museum of Islamic Art

The Museum of Islamic Art is one of the most visited attractions in Doha it was designed by IM Pei and features many perfectly manicured lawns and meticulous gardens. The Museum is a great place to get a feel for Islamic history and art as it exhibits many pieces from all across the world. The themes of the pieces on display are all based around Islamic culture.

Sky View

There is no place in all of Doha better suited for a drink in the evening. This amazing place located at La Cigale in Doha and the baron the rooftop has some of the best views of the city. So when you're visiting Doha make sure you keep aside an evening to go for a drink at Sky View.

Nobu

The renowned Japanese restaurant chain has a branch at the Four Seasons Hotel in Doha and it is humungous – 26,000 square feet to be precise. But the size of the restaurant is easily forgotten after the food reaches your table. This is one place you definitely have to eat at.

Arab history is full of warfare and conflict and it is correct to assume that there would be a museum dedicated to it. The weaponry museum is full of ancient weapons and replicas of the weapons used in the region's history. Even if ancient warfare and history do not interest you that much it is great to get a little understanding of the local culture; some might say that is the most important aspect of travelling.

Al Aker

Al Aker is one of the most famous cafes in Doha. It has gained much of its popularity due to the amazing range of sweets they sell. One of the most famous items on their menu is Kunafa. It is a locally produced pastry that is drenched in syrup and white cheese. When you're visiting Doha it is a must that you try out the sweets and there is no better place to go than Al Aker – it is a Doha institution of sorts.

GCC Camel Race

The prize of this unique race is not a trophy but a golden sword. Camel racing is a sport originating from Qatar but it has gained a lot of popularity in the region since. It is a traditional sport of the region and as a visitor to Doha you definitely should check out at least one race.

Souq Waqif

When in Doha you shouldn't come expecting a cheap trip it's a bit of an expensive place to visit. However have little fun and spoil yourself, there are so many 5 star hotels you can pick from. Souq Al Wakra Hotel Qatar by Tivoli is one of the best and is definitely worth checking out. Speaking of Souqs one you should definitely visit while in Doha is Souq Waqif. It is one of Doha's biggest attractions and consists of a 250-year-old labyrinth full of all sorts of shops and stalls.
