After travelling somewhere for the first time you will probably feel there was a better way it could've been done after the trip. Here's a list of 10 mistakes you can avoid when you go to Thailand.

When packing to go Thailand take the climate into consideration and the culture. You would be wise to pack light but conservative garments, sandals, a good pair of sunglasses and a good sunscreen.

There are so many beaches to choose from in Thailand but most of the famous ones have given into tourism and can seem less magical up close. Choeng Mon and Bophut Beach are two which are two of the best to visit on your trip.

Overenthusiastic shopping

If you love shopping you can go nuts in Thailand but be mindful of practicality also. If you're planning to do a lot of shopping have a foldable duffel bag in your main luggage just in case. Try to buy things easier to pack Thai silk for example.

Don't support animal cruelty

When you travel into Thailand and see tamed elephants giving rides to tourists it may seem like part of the experience but it still animal cruelty and by tourist paying for rides it creates a demand for it and makes the situation worse so it is important to play at least a little role and not help it.

Don't cheap out on sunscreen, get the best you can because it can be pretty sunny in Thailand and sunburn is the last thing you want on holiday. You'll be thankful later to get a really good sunscreen.

There are simply too many things to pick from when it comes to water sports in Thailand. If it exists you can probably find it here and by all means, they are a lot of fun but take the necessary precautions and be careful while having a great time. And injury is the last thing you'd want.
