The Beaches of Quy Nhon - Top Beaches in Quy Nhon

Tipped to be one of Vietnam's most popular beach holiday hubs, the beaches of Quy Nhon are both pristine and spectacular. Here are some of the area's must experience beaches.

1

Bai Xep Beach

Occupying pride of place a mere 13km from the heart of Quy Nhon town lies the stunning Bai Xep Beach. Part of a tiny fishing hamlet, Bai Xep Beach is best known for its golden-hued bay which is fringed with awe-inspiring rock formations at both ends. The crystal clear blue waters of the ocean only add to the beauty of this crescent-shaped beach hub which is ideal for swimming. Sheltered from high tides, Bai Xep Beach is perfect for water sports activities for most of the year. One of the most captivating aspects of the beach is the countless Vietnamese basket boats that line its border as well as the decidedly low key and non-touristic atmosphere of the entire beach area.

2

Quy Hoa Beach

Located in the southern quarter of Quy Nhon is the white, sandy beach of Quy Hoa which stretches as far as the eye can see. Fringed by palm trees, the breathtaking beach is about a kilometre long and almost entirely secluded during weekdays. This makes Quy Hoa Beach the perfect private beach haven for couples and families who wish to have this pristine piece of paradise to themselves. The privacy and the peaceful atmosphere of the beach are not the only reasons to visit the location as the northern end of the beach is home to a sprawling memorial park in honour of local icons.

3

Queen Beach

Also known as Bai Trung in the local tongue, Queen Beach is named after the wife of the country's last emperor. Queen Nam Phuong, in fact, chose Bai Trung as her favourite place in the country for rest and relaxation and time away from royal obligations. Surrounded by massive round shaped rocks, the beach's local name literally translates to Stone Egg Beach as the boulders truly resemble larger than life eggs. Although swimming is not advisable at Queens Beach, it offers a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the city and for simply witnessing local fishermen engaging in rod fishing practices on tall wooden pikes set in the water.

4

Eo Gio

Located nearly 20km from the centre of Quy Nhon, Eo Gio Beach is reached by crossing the Thi Nai Bridge. Often described as a beach more suitable for those who have grown weary of picture postcard-like beaches with white sands, what sets Eo Gio apart from similar seaside wonders is its dramatic coastline which is lined with hills, caves and rocks. The hills that look out over the beach have become popular observation points in Quy Nhon thus visitors are required to purchase tickets to access this particular beach.

5

Ky Co

Revered for its turquoise waters and golden sands, it is little wonder why Ky Co is regarded as one of the top beaches in Quy Nhon or even all of Vietnam as a whole. As a popular haunt among tourists and locals, the beach is one of the best-preserved seaside landscapes in the country. Visitors who are planning a Quy Nhon coastal escape will find that this beach is a must-visit highlight for all in Quy Nhon, Vietnam.
