Fun things to do in Wadduwa - Not just a beach hub

Wadduwa is a beach destination in Sri Lanka that is gaining popularity in recent times and here are a few things you must to do when you are there.

1

Enjoy the beach

The main point of you going on a holiday by the beach and booking yourself accommodation at The Blue Water Hotel and Spa or one of such similar resorts in Sri Lanka that are located by the water is so that you can relax, away from all the noise and the bustle of the daily life. It is OK to have quite a lot of things planned during your holiday in Sri Lanka but make sure that you keep aside at least two days with absolutely nothing to do during the day.

2

Indulge in spa sessions

There are many five star hotels found by the beaches in this part of Sri Lanka and you will be able to find quite a handful of spas in which you can in a treat yourself with therapeutic massages. Let yourself relax at the hands of the expert as you watch over the ocean.

3

Spend a day at the Sri Lanka karting circuit

This is the largest go-karting arena in all of the country and it is made up of a 70-metre track along with a mini children's track. Following the international safety specifications and standards, the leisure activities that you can partake in while you are here will be certainly fun, especially if you are travelling with family. Apart from go-karting, you can also try your hand at swimming, rifle shooting, gaming, basketball and various other things.

4

Go on a private tour

Combine your holiday in Sri Lanka by the beach with a few other attractions that are not so close to the waters. If you get in touch with the local tour agents you will be able to organise a two week or even a one week trip that takes you to all the hotspots in Sri Lanka.

5

Visit the Richmond Castle

Built by a wealthy old man back in early 1900 this place is highly influenced by old Indian architecture and resembles many Indian palaces. This place was built so that the husband and wife could move into the palace right after their wedding which was attended by the colonial British Governor at that time. They were a childless couple and, therefore, when they passed away, the Mansion was given over to the Public Trustee of the Sri Lankan Government. Even today, when you are touring the Richmond Castle you will be able to take a look at the photographs of the couple and the photographs of their extravagant wedding that are still found inside this palace.

6

Dining by the beach

If you plan with your hotel that you are staying at, you could probably set up a romantic night out and dine by the beach under the stars, right out in the open. This would be a memorable experience for you and your loved one and something that you both will cherish all your life.
