Most coastal areas that come under the Yala National Park territory is open to the travellers. During your tour of the National Park there are only a few places that visitors can have a break at and catch a breath. One of these places is the main beach areas that are open to the general public and is also a site where an old resort used to be on, but was washed away by the tsunami. When you walk around in this place you will still be able to see the destruction caused by the tsunami.

Some of these migrant birds include the spoonbill, the waterfowl and the small wader. You will also be able to spot flamingos, pelicans and various other kinds of water birds frequently at this National Park.
