Hong Kong may be a tiny city but it's sure full of fun things to do with your kids. The number of activities and venues that cater to children and families just keep increasing every year.

Hong Kong Disneyland

One of the best Disneyland parks in the world; the lines aren't as bad as elsewhere and the food has a delicious oriental twist. You can find versions of most of Disneyland's iconic rides and a few unique to Hong Kong. It's best to buy your tickets in advance, however.

Ocean Park

Ocean Park is yet another amazing theme park in the city. The park is themed around the sea and offers some unique experiences and animal encounters which make it a preference for some over Hong Kong's Disneyland. Visit the Peak

The viewing deck on top of the Peak Tower on the Sky Terrace 428 offers some of the best views of Hong Kong and presents some superb photo ops. Admission is required to enter the deck but it's quite worth it.

Hong Kong Science/History Museums

Kids will love the Hong Kong Science Museum, there are over 500 exhibits including Cathay Pacific's first DC3 airliner. Most exhibits at the museum are interactive and the kids love it to no end.

Hong Kong Park

Though not a big park by any measure Hong Kong Park offers a respite from the city's busy streets and an opportunity for the kids to run around and look at the lovely Koi fish and turtles who inhabit the park's many ponds.

The Big Buddha and Po Lin Monastery via Ngong Ping 360

Instead of enduring a windy bus ride Lantau Island to see the Big Buddha statue and the Po Lin monastery take a ride on the Ngong Ping 360 cable car. The views are stunning and the kids will love it, especially if you opt for the glass-bottomed cable car.

Hong Kong Pink Dolphins are endangered and becoming even rarer to spot. This is mainly due to pollution, ferries and harbour reclamation. These animals are beautiful and intelligent and if you do visit Hong Kong be sure to catch a glimpse of these amazing aquatic creatures.
