10 Legit fun things to do in Cyberjaya – Highlights of Silicon Valley of Malaysia

There's more to Cyberjaya than being a part of the Multimedia Super Corridor or being the location of famous universities. The Malaysian town boasts more attractions than you can count.

The 24-hour bookstore

Make a late-night trip to the 24-hour book store in Tamarind Park. You'll find yourself among stacks of books, and you'll be spoiled for choice. Among the books on sale are children's books, non-fiction and fiction books. The size of the store is a right match for the vast collection it holds; the store expands over 37,000 square feet. With the amazing discounts on offer, you'll be weighed down by bags of books on your way back to your hotel.

Cyberjaya Lake Gardens

The garden has a lake in it which is the promise of beautiful scenery, not to mention fishing. You can have a picnic on the bank of the river, go jogging, cycle around the park or just sit back and relax; options are plenty, and you should make time for at least one or two. The encouraging factor is that there is plenty of accommodation in Cyberjaya to be found around the park, and you don't have to spend loads of time travelling back and forth.

If sitting back and relaxing is not what you like to do on holiday; you can always go paintballing. For someone who likes to run around and break a sweat, Cyberjaya Paintball Park is the perfect choice. All the packages are reasonably priced, and you'll be given access to every field.

Go ice skating

You won't find many ice-skating options in Malaysia, but there's one at IOI City Mall in Putrajaya; make sure you wear something that covers you proper though; it's freezing inside!

Head over to Bonavox Karaoke for a delightful evening, you can book yourself a private room and sing your favourite songs with your family and friends. With helpful staff, free drinks, and comfortable rooms, you are going to spend some quality time while letting your talent out on display.

The Millennium Monument

Creators took inspiration from Washington Monument in the United States, and the monument is a great likeness of it. Standing tall at 68 meters, the Millennium Monument welcomes visitors throughout the day; if you feel like a visit after midnight – provided that you can visit the site easily from any hotel including Citadines DPulze Cyberjaya – you can get right on it. The monument makes an excellent backdrop for pictures, and if you are up for it, you can have a picnic during the day.

Excellent bridges

Some of the bridges you find around the town are definitely Instagram-worthy. These vast structures have evidently consumed a great deal of effort and expertise, and they deserve to be praised, appreciated and admired.

Putrajaya Wetland Park

You can spend a day at the man-made wetland park in Putrajaya. The park is comprised of the Wetland Park as well as natural wetlands. UNESCO recognises the park as an Eco-hydrology Demonstration site on account of its ecosystems. At Putrajaya Wetland Park, researchers study the connection between ecosystems and water; the park's unique ecosystems deliver a high rate of biodiversity. The park also offers a perfect setting for those who want to spend a day watching birds, fishing and enjoying various watersports.

Serene Lake offers wakeboarding lessons for those who want to learn the sport. If you don't know what wakeboarding is, it is a watersport where you stand on a board that's towed by a motorboat at a considerable speed. You can also try waterskiing, sailing and flyboarding.

Go bowling

One of the recreational activities you can try in Cyberjaya is bowling. If you head over to IOI City Mall, in addition to shopping, you can enjoy a round of bowling with your family and friends.
