Both profile and tribe pages have customizable banners. These new profile banners are a great way to make your profile or tribe stand out.
The image dimensions should be 770px width and 315px height. You can upload files in .jpeg, .gif and .png formats. Each tribe can have it’s own image, so if you have a number of tribes you are the Chief of, you may want to get started getting your images ready
One of the biggest improvements in the new UI is the ability to easily explore tribes. In order for a tribe to show in the category list it must:
Have a category assigned
Have at least 2 members
More active tribes with a great description will rise to the top, and will subsequently get more followers, which means greater reach for members.
A month ago we made an announcement on the bonfires that there will be a limit to how many posts each member could import into Triberr each week. The limits are as follows:
This limit will go into affect the week of the 18th.
It used to be, when you wanted to join a new tribe you would leave 3 comments on the tribe page, and the Chief would be alerted to send an invite. Now you can immediately follow any tribe, and as soon as you do you’ll have the option to request a promotion to Member. The Chief will get a notification that you would like to be considered as a member. What are tribe followers?
As members reach and influence continue to grow on Triberr, it’s tempting to insert a friend or client’s blog post into your network to get them some additional exposure. That’s great for your friend or client, but not so great for tribemates that invited you to their blog to share your content. To make sure we keep things legit, as of the new UI, you can only switch blog assignments once every 30 days. You can find the announcement with more detail on the bonfires.
If you wanted to invite someone to your tribe, you used to have to send them to the Triberr homepage for them to register. Then you needed to search for them on the site to send them an invite.
Now you can send them a link to your tribe page, and they can follow your tribe right away. They’ll be walked through a quick signup step, then they’ll be an official tribe follower. You’ll get an email alert, and you can promote them to a full member if you like.
