Mui Ne is a popular beach resort in Vietnam off the South China Sea. Many attractions await travellers here from water sports, to exploring dunes to memorable ancient ruins.

Bike across White Sand Dunes

Traverse the Mui Ne dunes on a quad bike for a thrilling high adventurous experience. A quad bike can get you to the top of the dunes which would be quite strenuous walking, which is also an option. To save money, a quad bike can be rented and the amount could be split among friends and the time shared for everyone to have a great time at the fraction of a cost.

Kite surfing and Windsurfing

Both sports are wildly popular in Mui Ne and is one of the top locations in Asia to experience the sport if you are a newbie. There are plenty of kitesurfing schools to suit your level of experience at a wide range of costs.

Explore the fairy stream

Being one of the most famous tourist attractions in Mui Ne, get ready to bare your legs and wander through the pristine ankle length water of the fairy stream. Take in the brown, yellow and red limestone formations in the midst of quiet and peaceful surroundings. A fantastic location to take great pictures and you will be rewarded with a small waterfall at the end of the stream.

Red Dunes

Ride down the red dunes if you are seeking a bit of a thrill. You will be offered a plastic sled upon arrival and you're in for fun ride down the red slopes alternatively you can wander about these dunes by foot.

The main beach, Mui Ne Beach is usually crowded with kite surfers and windsurfers in the mornings but tends to quiet down in the afternoons and evenings. There is Hon Rom beach in the north close to the red dunes and a popular beach among the Vietnamese. Suoi Nuoc Beach complete with perfect white sand is a hot spot for westerners.

Cable Car over Ta Cu Mountain

The mountain is located around hours' drive away from Mui Ne at a national park. Once there you can get a cable car, you can opt for a round trip and see the whole layout of the mountain. There are beautiful temples, Buddha statues, and ornate gates, throughout the ride. The giant pure white statue of the reclining Buddha is a sight to behold.

Po Shanu Cham Towers

These ruins are remnants of the Champa Empire and have been there since the 9th century and used for religious purposes to this day. The towers have been well maintained and from its position atop Ong Hoang Hill, you can catch a glimpse of the lovely coastlines below. Anantara Mui Ne Resort is close to the Cham Towers and dunes, a good option to consider if you want to be around this area.
