Hua Hin is a relaxing fashionable seaside resort on the Gulf of Thailand, with many great attractions to visit, fantastic food and top-notch hotels.
Of things to do in Hua Hin visiting this summer seaside palace should be on the top of your list. Built by the Royal family in the 1920s during the rule of King Rama VI, this beautiful palace designed by an Italian architect features gorgeous latticework, verandas, paved boardwalks, and many other charming features. Anantara Hua Hin Resort is situated close to the palace as well as the railway station which is another interesting site to visit.
It is a popular open-air market known for its array of arts and crafts and entertainment. You will find live music performances, an art gallery, food stalls, and a beer garden.
This themed shopping village is situated close to Klai Kang Won Palace. The building is designed solely from brown wood and decorated according to Thai architecture. The unique shopping complex has guest rooms, cafes, famous open-air movie screenings, live music and a temple fair festival to keep you entertained throughout the day.
This water park is a great place to relax for the whole family. It features nine water slides and apart from them a tidal pool, beach pool, lazy river among its attractions. The whole amusement park is set up on a fantastic mountainous background overlooking a man-made lake.
In English, it is translated into Chopstick Mountain and colloquially referred to as Monkey Mountain, due to the vast monkey population living atop. The mountain summit has a pagoda with a large bell and the main shrine. This is a great spot to soak in the fantastic views surrounding Hua Hin.
Located right in the city centre close to the railway line this quintessential Thai market, a great spot to experience everyday life in Hua Hin. The market begins at 6.30 pm daily where you will find traders sell various goods and trinkets. If you feeling peckish after all the bargaining there is a line of restaurants close by to choose from.
This lovely and quaint station is worth a visit especially if you don't travel to Hua Hin by train. Built by King Rama VI, the railway station had an ornate royal waiting room and colourful painted wooden buildings authentic to Thai design.
The cave is a 45-minute drive south of Hua Hin. There is a gold and green pavilion hidden inside the cave, and very few travellers ever get to witness it, as it's a strenuous hike to reach it. Those who persevere will be rewarded with a magical site almost straight out of a movie set.
The parks ambience consisted of classic whitewashed buildings, stone pavements, domed towers reminiscent of Santorini Greece. It further has an impressive line-up of shops, rides, and restaurants.
