In 2019, the minimum wage for the state of California was increased to $12.00 per hour, this is $4.75 higher than the federal minimum wage and the joint highest minimum wage out of all 50 states. Since 2016, California’s minimum wage has been consistently increasing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of between 4-9%. It increased considerably from $11.00 per hour in 2018 to $12.00 in 2019.

In 2020, the Idaho state minimum wage sits at $7.25 - this is the same as the federal minimum wage.
Indiana’s state minimum wage in 2020 is the same as the federal minimum wage ($7.25). The Indiana minimum wage has not increased since 2009.
The Iowa state minimum wage situation is identical to many others in the US, 21 in fact. It sits at $7.25 per hour (the Federal minimum wage).
In 2020, the Kansas state minimum wage has remained the same as in previous years - $7.25 per hour, nothing has changed since 2009.
As it stands, 2020 has seen no immediate change to the Kentucky state minimum wage. Much like previous years, Kentucky’s min wage has remained $7.25.
The minimum wage in Maine for 2020 is $12.00 per hour, this is $4.75 higher than the federal minimum wage and is considered to be one of the highest.
2020 has not experienced an increase to the minimum wage in Louisiana, and there doesn’t seem to be any signs of it increasing within the coming years.
