Sukhumvit is a region in Bangkok that is famous for its trendy restaurants, bars and nightlife scenes! Here is a list of places to head to when in Sukhumvit.

Ardel's Third Place Gallery

This gallery functions to promote the exemplary work of the local contemporary artist. If you are an art enthusiast you will find this place truly exceptional. Several exhibitions take place here that showcase some of the most beautiful works of local artists. Skim through the calendar and see the exhibition times you can attend and make sure to reserve tickets early. The gallery is open from Monday to Saturday from 10 am onwards to 6 pm. It is closed on Sundays, so make sure not to make any plans to visit the gallery on a Sunday. You will be thoroughly disappointed.

Benjakitti Park

This park covers a large area of about 208,000 m² and is located right opposite to Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre. So what can you find out here? The green space that surrounds the beautiful lake is absolutely beautiful. There are pristine tracks for both joggers and cyclists around the entire park. And the water's edge gives one a spectacular view while they go about exercising for the day. Funarium Indoor Playground

This indoor park doesn't excite anyone when viewing it from the outside, in fact, it looks like of a warehouse. The rest assured, your children are going to love it. The playground covers an area of about 2000 m² which is dotted with many activities. The playground has a giant climbing structure, baking station, soft play, and an art and craft section. The place is open from Monday to Thursday from 9 am onwards to 6 pm. The place closes an hour later on Fridays to Sundays! Make sure to make use of this hour.

Museum of Science and Planetarium

Kids and adults, both alike, can have an amazing day out here. The Museum of Science and Planetarium in Bangkok is where people can experience and learn about natural history, science, and tech. This centre even houses special exhibitions and events, lectures and group discussions which you can be a part of. The museum is open from Tuesdays to Sundays at 9:30 am and operates till 4:30 pm. Once again, don't make any plans to go here on Monday, as it will be a complete waste of time. Why? Well, no one is going to let you enter as it is closed.

Pridi Banomyong Institute

This is another place to promote local arts and culture. This building has been shrouded by a tree complex and is built in remembrance of the famous Pridi Banomyong who was one of the most important historical figures of this country. There are many events that take place here which include monthly movie screening, a stage performance by upcoming local artists, workshops and other cultural seminars.
