Premier League: Teenage Arsenal striker scores excellent half-volley

Premier League: Teenage Arsenal striker scores excellent half-volley

Two of the Arsenal u23s’ in-form players combined to score the winner against Southampton on Saturday, underlining their continued progress this season. Football activists from around the world can acquire Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its spectacular performances.
Tyreece John-Jules fired home on the half-volley to net the only goal of the game as Steve Bould’s u23 side won their second consecutive game this weekend. The striker was set up by Ben Cottrell, who chipped an excellent ball into a dangerous area for John-Jules, even if there was still a lot of work to do with the finish.
Even in matches where he hasn’t got on the score sheet, such as Tottenham Hotspur away at the start of the month, he’s still been influential whenever he’s played. In fact, the only three games the Arsenal u21s/u23s have lost have been three of the four he missed.

Emery was planning to give John-Jules a chance before his injury and insisted on the young striker that his time would come when he returned to fitness. Though the head coach may not be around to fulfill that promise, it’s still a sign of things to come for the player.
Meanwhile, Ben Cottrell has had to deal with shifting between the u18s and the u23s this season, filling in with whichever team needs help, but he’s doing so excellently so far. The midfielder has four goals and an assist in nine games seven starts, but it’s not just his final ball which is impressing.

Cottrell’s passing and dribbling in tight spaces really help the team progress the ball up the field, which has been most evident when he’s been absent from the u18s and they’ve struggled. It’s great to see the duo combining for their goal this weekend, the first of many, we hope.

Premier League: Arsenal players have lost confidence in emery

Premier League: Arsenal players have lost confidence in emery

The Arsenal players have lost confidence in beleaguered manager Unai Emery after Saturday’s draw with Southampton. The news claims that there is a growing feeling among the Gunners squad that he needs to be replaced, as they don’t believe he is the man to salvage their season. Football activists from around the world can acquire Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its spectacular performances.
The players are confused by his team selections, tactics and instructions, although he still has the odd supporter within the dressing room. If the former Paris Saint-Germain man is relieved of his duties, the most likely scenario is that assistant first-team coach Freddie Ljungberg would take over on an interim basis, with Steve Bould supporting him.

Is time really up for Emery?
Getting a last-minute goal to scrape to a 2-2 draw at home to relegation fodder Southampton simply isn’t good enough for a club the size of Arsenal. Emery has his team sitting eighth in the Premier League table, but they are already eight points behind Chelsea in fourth.
Champions League qualification is going to be very difficult for the Gunners to secure this campaign. Liverpool and Manchester City are nailed on for the top four, while Chelsea and Leicester City look good bets, as well. Then there’s the Jose Mourinho-led Tottenham Hotspur.
Plus, if the Arsenal players are starting to cast doubt on the manager, what hope does he have? They clearly don’t buy into his vision, and so they won’t be performing at their best.

Ljungberg has been coaching at the Emirates Stadium for some time, while Bould is obviously hugely experienced. They would be a safe pair of hands while a new man is sounded out.

Premier League: Former Gunner not convinced Mauricio would improve Arsenal

Premier League: Former Gunner not convinced Mauricio would improve Arsenal

Charlie Nicholas doesn’t believe that Mauricio Pochettino is the solution for Arsenal. Arsenal is a club in turmoil and the fans have completely lost all faith that Unai Emery is the man to turn things around. Football activists from around the world can acquire Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its spectacular performances.
There have been conflicting reports about Emery’s position. Some reports have claimed that the club has been sounding out potential replacements, while others have claimed that he has been offered more time to turn things around.
Former Arsenal star, Charlie Nicolas however, believes that the Spaniard’s time as the club’s manager will soon be over because of their current poor run of form. Speaking to Sky Sports, Nicholas said, “It definitely feels that way.

After 21 years of Arsene Wenger, it is hard to look at a manager leaving after 18 months and think he has had enough time. But it is not so much the time frame on it, it is the lack of improvement.
Charlie Nicholas Statement:
“They did spend a fair amount of money probably in the wrong positions in my opinion. Kieran Tierney has come in and it has taken him ages to get fit, so he will need time to settle. Hector Bellerin has been out. The center-back position has been poor. Then there’s the lack of protectors in midfield.
“I have sympathy with him. But we all know that this is a results business and that’s down to the manager. If he doesn’t get results, his time will be up and the fans are starting to get angry now.
“When the anger comes to Arsenal, then the thoughts turn to the board. And when the board is shaking a little bit then they have a decision to make.
“Who will make the decision? It is a committee of four or five people. There are different people involved and it seems even they are confused about it. Arsenal has no leaders on the pitch and no leaders upstairs.”
He also added that he had doubts about Mauricio Pochettino making Arsenal better.

“Of course he is a top-quality coach. We did it with Sol Campbell in the past and we know what mayhem that created. This would be even more. He improved Spurs dramatically and got them to the top four and the Champions League final.
“The question mark beside him is that he didn’t win any prizes. They didn’t always get results against the rest of the top six so that’s a question mark too.
“Would he improve this Arsenal side? I am not so sure. I think it needs a rebuild defensively right from the center-backs”
Nicholas makes some very good points, however, it is easy to say who cannot do the job, and it is a lot harder to say who can.
This is a very testing period for the club. They simply cannot get the next manager wrong. If they do, it will be them that the fans will turn their anger towards.

Premier League: Sports pundit on what he is ‘hearing’ about Arsenal board over Emery decision

Premier League: Sports pundit on what he is ‘hearing’ about Arsenal board over Emery decision

Sports pundit Gary Neville has given his opinion based on what he is hearing about the Unai Emery situation, following a very worrying run in the Premier League over the past two months for the Gunners. Football fanatics from around the world can obtain Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.
Arsenal has been in abysmal form so far this season, having failed to win away from home in the Premier League ever since the 1-0 victory over Newcastle on the opening day of the season.
But that is only a small part of the Gunners’ concerns at the moment with a big gap between them and teams like Chelsea, Leicester City, Manchester City and Liverpool who are currently occupying the top four places.

Arsenal’s most recent match saw them almost suffer a surprising loss to lowly Southampton, in a 2-2 draw which was secured by a late goal from Alexandre Lacazette. That has seen most of the fans demand the sacking of Unai Emery but Gary Neville insists the Gunners will have to keep faith in the manager.
The Sky Sports pundit claims what he has heard is that the Arsenal board is ‘split’ over whether to terminate Emery’s role or not. Neville claims the club’s hierarchy is divided, with a portion of them keen on letting go of the Spaniard while others are reluctant to change things.
“Manchester United is no further forward in terms of winning the league than they were eight years ago when they sacked David Moyes. Arsenal will have looked at that example.” he said

“I would think that the board of Arsenal is in a quandary because they won’t know what to do. My view is, when you’re in that position as a board where you are split, and that’s what we’re hearing, my feeling would be that you don’t make a decision.

“You let things breath, you let it play out, you make sure that you ultimately believe in what your original decision was, until a time whereby it becomes really difficult and a point whereby you’re absolutely certain that what you’re going to do is going to bring success and not add to the confusion that is already there.”

Premier League: The new manager timeline is underway but will it be Nuno

Premier League: The new manager timeline is underway but will it be Nuno

There’s plenty of chatter going on about Nuno Espirito Santo at the moment. He’s the bookies favorite at the moment, in front of Arteta, Allegri, and Benitez. The latter two being free agents shortly and therefore right up KSE’s street if/when they decide the time is up for Emery. Football fanatics from around the world can obtain Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.
And it does feel like it right now. There was a talk the Arsenal Coach was supposed to give on Friday which has now been canceled. Because of some of the online abuse received when he was announced as a speaker.
With the college in question sending emails reminders out to students to watch what they say online. Because of their digital footprint and with a man whose stock is so low that he can’t even do basic tasks. Like that you have to assume that everyone knows his time is up.

Unai Emery is walking the football manager’s equivalent of the metaphorical Green Mile it seems. It does seem weird that the club is happy to let this drag on though. And I think even David Ornstein was saying on the Athletic podcast and website.
David Ornstein:
That the expectation was he’d be in charge of Frankfurt, but what the point is. What does anyone get from him being in charge? The stadium will be half empty by the sounds of it, Frankfurt won’t have many fans there, and it’ll be a really weird vibe.
Perhaps the thinking from the board i.e. “why would we want anyone to take that like the first game?” and I can kind of understand that. It would be a depressing start to a managerial career and then with Norwich coming up on Sunday that’s when you’d hope that we can have a new man in.
I guess that’s why the chatter has up last night. The timeline for a new manager feels right. If they’re looking at Norwich away as the potential game then they will have looked at the Southampton game on Saturday, discussed on Sunday and Monday whilst the players were off.
If they’ve made the decision on Monday then they’ll use yesterday and today to be sorting out finer details. If it’s agreed that it doesn’t matter one way or the other about Thursday’s game then you might as well keep Emery in charge. But Friday feels like the day you give him his marching orders.

Whether a new man comes in for Saturday I’d expect it unlikely. But if you bring somebody in over the weekend they can watch the game with a view to taking over on a Monday. Ahead of a home game against Brighton that you’d hope we could get points from.
Arsene Wenger:
That kind of feels right to me. It feels like a timeline the works and so now all eyes are on the football exec team to do their jobs. We’re outtalking time right now and quite frankly they’d be sleeping at the wheel if they didn’t have him out by this time next week.
The next step for us as fans is to unite behind any one who is the next man in charge. I saw an excellent tweet today saying that in many ways the Unai Emery tenure was always going to be a hangover period for those cultists who wanted Wenger to stay forever and ever and ever.
They’ve now spent just under a year and a half bashing the current manager for not being Wenger, so if they can’t get behind this manager, you’d have to question whether they were fans of the club at all. Perhaps they should just go and support FIFA instead, where Arsene is currently employed.

As for me, a new man gets my backing and if we can get somebody to instill some belief and get us playing some good football again then you’d have to say we’d take that because we’ve had none of it all season. It’s time to hit the reset button on the club in terms of the coaching staff. We’re all ready for it.

Premier League: Emery I’ve failed To Find a Balance

Premier League: Emery I’ve failed To Find a Balance

Unai Emery admits his side continues to lack a balance between attack and defense but he insists he continues to enjoy his day-to-day work with the players, and appreciates the support of the club hierarchy, even though he’s under considerable pressure to reverse Arsenal’s slide into mediocrity. Football fanatics from around the world can obtain Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.
In the last week a range of candidates from ex-Gunner Mikel Arteta to Wolves head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has been tipped to succeed the Spaniard at the Emirates, but the Spaniard, facing the media ahead of our Europa League clash with Frankfurt, was determined to cut an optimistic character.

Emery’s Interview:

“The club is supporting me,” he said on Wednesday. “I feel the club is responsible in that area. I really appreciate that a lot.
“I feel strong with that support and I know my responsibility is to come back and change the situation.”
While few people expect him to see out the year at Arsenal, Emery attempted to dissect where he thinks things are going wrong.

“We need to recover the confidence,” he said, “I need to achieve a good balance, and we need to be more compact.
“I am feeling responsible for my work. I know we need to improve. When I lost, I am not feeling well.

“I am feeling that responsibility to come back, the responsibility to analyze and to work and improve to achieve our performance.
“In my work, I enjoy it. Every day I enjoy it. The players and the preparation I enjoy because I love that work.”

Change of Strategy:

Asked why his side is conceding so many goals, he went on: “Really, the one thing we need is to be more compact. We are conceding more goals than we wanted and the opposition is creating more chances than we wanted. That is the first tactical issue I want to change.
“I am trying some different tactical decisions, using our players in the best possible positions for them.
“And, at the moment, we haven’t achieved that balance to be strong. I don’t think it’s the system.”
In quotes reported earlier today, Emery stressed that his side needs the supporters to help the players if they are to recover their confidence.

“As a coach, each moment in my career is difficult,” he reflects.
“It’s a very good job, but it’s very hard. When you are winning, you feel the support from everybody, but when you’re not winning like in the last matches, you have some doubters.
“Really, I believe in us, the players, the group. I know I am going to work very hard to come back with this performance and take the confidence we need now. Each match is a very good opportunity. The good and bad moments come and go, but the most important thing for me is to show my work and our capacity.

“Each match is a good opportunity to do that. Most importantly it’s to connect with the supporters. They need to back and help the players tomorrow at each moment. Our confidence depends on how we can feel in our stadium with our supporters.
Emery having Hope o come back:

“The teams are coming here and playing fearless against us. This is the first thing we need to change. We need to change it and we need to be strong and we need to be together. I know we need to show our supporters our capacity and our skills.
“I know we’re not really showing that skill and performance 100 percent with the players, but tomorrow we have a very good opportunity and we are going to try to change that.

“We were speaking about how we can improve and how we can change that and the first way of changing that is by being more compact.

“Then being confident we can show our skills, our quality. In the last matches, we’ve had tactical issues and we need to do better.”
A defeat for Arsenal and Emery may not necessarily spell the end of the Spaniard’s 18 months in charge, however, were anything less than a win tomorrow be followed by more dropped points in the Premier League against Norwich on Sunday, it feels quite likely that the ax will fall.

Premier League: Three English managers Arsenal should consider as Emery replacement

Premier League: Three English managers Arsenal should consider as Emery replacement

English managers may not have exotic surnames but that does not mean they should be dismissed as candidates. There has been a clamor for foreign coaches with expansive ideas ever since Arsene Wenger took over at Arsenal but that may soon be changing and Arsenal could, along with Chelsea, be at the forefront of that change. Football fanatics from around the world can obtain Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.
Obviously three of the top managers in English football are foreign, well at least by reputations. Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp and I hate to say it, Jose Mourinho. But there is a clutch of quality English managers that arguably do a better job than a lot of their foreign counterparts.

Arsenal’s new manager:
Who are the three managers up for the sack right now? Manuel Pellegrini, Marco Silva and Unai Emery who are among the mangers that have been getting glowing praise? Chris Wilder, Eddie Howe and Graham Potter
Of course, Nuno Santo is also getting highly praised at Wolves but why choose him over say, Chris Wilder? Why take a chance of Mikel Arteta when Eddie Howe has done an astonishing job with limited resources at Bournemouth.
Graham Potter not even being mentioned when he had done a remarkable job at Brighton I mean, who knows the history of Potter at Ostersund in Sweden I do, I am also aware of how that club has disintegrated since he left them.

Argument on English managers:
There is the argument that any of these English managers could fail to take the step up, but so could Nuno Santo, he was hardly a roaring success at Valencia and Porto. I am not suggesting that Howe, Wilder, Potter or even Sean Dyche will be a success but neither am I convinced they would do any worse than some of the names linked with the Arsenal job.
Chelsea took a chance with Frank Lampard, albeit forced by circumstances, and it is working out terrifically well for them. There are huge advantages with taking a chance on an English manager, communication being the most obvious.
But they are generally ignored and the only reason that Howe, Wilder and Dyche are doing well is that they were forced to get promotion to the Premier League to make their mark. Potter got his chance because Brighton was seen as guaranteed relegation fodder.

Arsenal can hardly do worse than going with an English manager until the end of the season; they are unlikely to make the top-four and will not be relegated, so why not take a chance until the end of the season.

Premier League: Arsenal chiefs shocked by Unai Emery decision, he’s on the brink of sack

Premier League: Arsenal chiefs shocked by Unai Emery decision, he’s on the brink of sack

After a bad run of form in the Premier League, it appears that the pressure has become too much to handle for Arsenal and Unai Emery. Football fanatics from around the world can obtain Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.
The Spaniard is now on the brink of being sacked. As per the latest reports from the Daily Telegraph, the sacking of the manager is imminent and could happen anytime soon.
Despite the manager he insisting that he had the support of the club’s hierarchy, it seems that they have reached a breaking point.

New managers in list:
The overwhelming feeling within the club is that unless he is somehow able to make a dramatic turnaround in the fortunes of the team, he will be removed from his post.
The report claims that the Arsenal chiefs were shocked to see Unai Emery give his players time-off from training ahead of Frankfurt clash as Emery is said to have felt that his players need a psychological break.

Telegraph further claims that the club has taken this a step further and have already started looking for people who can replace Emery. Among the candidates, the two men with the strongest chances of becoming the next Arsenal boss could be Massimiliano Allegri and Nuno Esprito Santo.

Allegri has not yet returned to management since he was removed from the post at Italian club Juventus. Santo on the other hand is the manager of Wolves who have been hugely impressive since making a return to the Premier League.
It is now looking more likely than ever that the Europa League game against Eintracht Frankfurt could very well be his last match with the Gunners. After a tricky start last season, it seemed that the club was really going in the right direction.
Emery’s end as manager:
But a severe dip in form towards the end of last season and coupled with a crushing defeat in the Europa League final has sent the club on a downward spiral.

Now, it would be in the best interest of everyone involved if Emery is no longer the manager at Arsenal. Getting someone like Allegri would bring some structure to the club that has been lacking for some time now.
Emery has been given time by the club but it is clear that he is no longer the right man for the job. Fans will be hoping that whoever the new manager happens to be, they will get the team back into the Champions League.

Premier League: Many Arsenal fans fume at Xhaka for what he did on Thurs Gunner sphere

Premier League: Many Arsenal fans fume at Xhaka for what he did on Thurs Gunner sphere

Arsenal’s season just continues to dredge new depths at the moment. Thursday’s 2-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt means that the Gunners are now on their worst run of form since 1992. Football fanatics from around the world can obtain _Premier League Tickets_ online to enjoy its stunning performances.
And it looks increasingly unlikely that manager Unai Emery has a long term future at the club. Chief amongst the controversies and issues that have blighted them this season, however, is the ongoing tension surrounding Granit Xhaka.

The Swiss midfielder was stripped of the captaincy after a public falling out with fans following his substitution against Crystal Palace at the back end of October, and while speculation has been rife about his future at the club, he did make a return to the first team on Thursday for the first time since that incident.
That in itself wasn’t enough to spark ire from fans, but Xhaka’s decision to greet some of his friends who were playing for Frankfurt upon the final whistle did not go down well at all. The 27-year-old could be seen laughing and joking in the after match of the damaging loss, and for many supporters, that was unacceptable.
In fairness to Xhaka:
Should he have maybe waited until he was out of sight before catching up with his mates instead of giving off the distinct impression of somebody who wasn’t overly hurt by the defeat but does that mean he deserves to be chastised like this?

Xhaka is allowed friends who play for other teams. To think otherwise is naive, and to get angry about it is a little bit immature, truth is told. The midfielder actually had one of his better games of the season on Wednesday.
Making three tackles, three key passes, two successful dribbles, and registering a pass completion rate of around 88%, as per who scored. Instead of focusing on the positives, however, it feels as if some fans are using him as a scapegoat for another underwhelming team display.
If Wednesday has taught us anything, it’s that Xhaka is still willing to put in the hard graft for Arsenal. It would have been easy for him to let his head drop after a difficult few weeks, but instead he came out swinging.

That being said, the fact that some supporters have chosen to react like this almost certainly proves that his days at the club are numbered. It would take a miracle to transform some of the ardent views held by certain factions of the fan base, and due to that alone, Xhaka may have to go.

Premier League: Arsenal fans praise 27-year-old’s display vs Norwich City

Premier League: Arsenal fans praise 27-year-old’s display vs Norwich City

Some Arsenal fans have hailed the performance of goalkeeper Bernd Leno following the club’s 2-2 Premier League against Norwich City on the road. Football activists from around the world can acquire Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its spectacular performances.
The Gunners had gone into the Canaries clash with the chance to end a seven-match winless streak in all competitions but the performance was all too familiar with the defense continue to possess a sense of vulnerability.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was instrumental in the attack as he was able to find the net for the Gunners in either half but it was ultimately left to Leno to save the side from suffering a potentially embarrassing loss.
The Germany international was kept busy for most of the second period with the Canaries trying to find the winner and he had to come up with a string of top-notch saves to hand the Gunners with a hard-fought point.
As a result, a number of Gunners supporters are grateful for the shot-stopper’s performance and some have taken to twitter to praise the 27-year-old keeper.
Bernd Leno Saves in Premier League:
Leno has not received much assistance from a fragile-looking backline this term and following the Norwich clash, he has made 59 saves in the Premier League, which remains more than any goalkeeper.
While the statistic makes for good reading on a personal level for Leno, it is a concern for the team, given the defense has failed to restrict the opposition players from striking at goal at regular intervals.
Sunday’s draw at Norwich has meant that the Gunners have made their worst start to a top-flight campaign in more than four decades. They are presently seven points off the top four after 14 games into the season.

Cascarino believes they should focus their attention towards Leno:

“The one position I’m a little bit concerned about with Arsenal, and it worried me watching them last season, is the keeper, I think Leno is a big player for them this year, he’s got to be better. Last season, he was punching balls that were quite easily catchable and I was thinking, ‘Wow, you’ve got to be better than that, you’ve got to be more commanding.”

Premier League: Dan’s Player Ratings for Norwich v Arsenal Leno earned us the point

Premier League: Dan’s Player Ratings for Norwich v Arsenal Leno earned us the point

So, despite sacking Unai Emery and playing yet another team in the relegation zone, Arsenal still can’t win a game. We have now gone 8 winless games in a row, In fact, we were lucky not to lose it in the end and it was only Bernd Leno’s heroics that saved us. Football activists from around the world can get Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its spectacular performances.
So here are Dan’s Player Ratings for our draw with Norwich….
Leno:
Best performance of the season. One of his saves was so good it was the equivalent of a goal. He must be wondering what’s going on in front of him….

Chambers:
Good on the ball and defending one-on-one. He needs to find the balance between when to go forward and not, as he was caught out of position a couple of times, including for their second goal.
Mustafi:
This was his chance to prove his point and he failed. The Arsenal defense does not seem to close down which I’m not sure is the player's choice or tactical. At times he was isolated and very much last ditch.
Luiz:
Did not find himself as isolated as Mustafi but guilty as anyone in terms of not closing down. There is enough experience in the Brazilian to be communicating more to his peers.

Kolasinac:
He got stuck in physically but was not targeted as much as the other flank. His final ball still not good enough.
Xhaka:
Tactically he was let down by being asked to be the main DM. At on time he gave the ball away which nearly led to a goal, but given what’s gone on it was a solid return to Premiership action.
Guendouzi:
He has been a huge favorite of mine, my player of our season. Yet it might be time to take him out of the team with the pressure affecting our youngsters. You can never fault his energy but he was giving the ball away a lot and slowing down our attacks.
Willock:
The game passed him by. I would like to see him in a two-man combo as I don’t think he’s ready to be our main attacking midfielder.

Ozil:
His set-pieces were lethal, on another day these could have led to more than just the one goal. His experience was vital when the team was tiring as he had the ability to hold the ball up and win free-kicks.
Auba:
I often struggle to rate him. He does his job as in that he scores two goals and showed a great mentality to successfully retake the penalty.
Laca:
Would never fault his work rate but the ball didn’t drop for him.

Torreria:
Lots of energy. Don’t underestimate the couple of interceptions he made to stop Norwich from winning the game.
Saka:
Got in promising positions but his final ball was poor didn’t justify coming on ahead of Pepe.
Martinelli:
Not enough time to make an impact really should have come on at least 10 minutes earlier.

Premier League: Arsenal boss Freddie Ljungberg makes worrying Nicolas Pepe comments

Premier League: Arsenal boss Freddie Ljungberg makes worrying Nicolas Pepe comments

In the last Premier League game against Norwich City, new Arsenal boss Freddie Ljungberg refused to bring on Nicolas Pepe, the club’s record signing. Football fanatics from around the world can obtain Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.
Despite making three changes, people were a little surprised that Pepe was left on the bench. The game ended 2-2 as the Gunners could not find the winner.
Speaking after the game, Ljungberg commented on his refusal to bring on Pepe and that has caused a little concern. He said:
“Nicolas Pepe is a very good player, but I looked at what we did in training and what I see every day and that is how I judge it.
“Everybody in the squad is important but I look to how players train in the week and I felt what we needed at that time, they were putting a lot of pressure on us, Bukayo has an enormous pace and I thought he would be good.”

From his comments, it could be said that he does not feel that Pepe was up to the mark. This can be further evidenced by the fact that he brought on Saka and Martinelli instead of the Ivorian. The going has not been too smooth for the winger as he has struggled to establish himself in the Gunners team.
Pepe’s Performance:
He has scored 3 goals and bagged few assists as well but fans will certainly be expecting more from someone who has cost a lot of money. After scoring the winner against Vitoria in the Europa League, he has not been picked in the team as much as he would have liked.
Former Gunners manager Unai Emery who was very inconsistent with his team selection decided to leave Pepe out of the squad in the past few matches. This is why it was surprising to see even Ljungberg leave him out of the playing eleven.
That game against the Portuguese team is incidentally the last game that Arsenal won. Results have not gone to plan and it is on players such as Pepe to help the team come good again.

It is possible that Pepe is finding the physicality of England a little hard to deal with but there is no doubt that he is one talented player as we have seen in flashes.
Pepe will eventually come good but fans will be hoping that this happens sooner rather than later. It will take more than one game for Ljungberg to put his stamp on the Gunners’ squad and he may soon start looking towards Pepe to contribute in an effective manner.

Premier League: Freddie explains Pepe decision after Norwich draw

Premier League: Freddie explains Pepe decision after Norwich draw

With Arsenal in need of a goal during the second half of yesterday’s 2-2 draw with Norwich, it was somewhat surprising that Freddie Ljungberg didn’t turn to Nicolas Pepe. Football fanatics from around the world can obtain Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.
The interim head coach did introduce Bukayo Saka in the 78th minute, and Gabriel Martinelli very late on, but the £72m summer arrival from Lille remained unused by the end.

It led to a question after the game as to why the record signing had not played any part, to which Ljungberg replied, “Pepe is a very good player. As I said, I try to look at what players have done in training and that’s how I judge them.”

"What I saw in the first 30 minutes and the belief and how we played that was good. Offensively that was good.

"I don't know if you saw it but when we went 1-0 down, the players weren't shaking their heads, they were actually going 'come on guys we can sort this out'. That shows they believe they are quality players.

"We need to change a negative trend plus, with our run that was a difficult game and the players did really well."
Ljungberg added that everyone has a clean slate after he took over from Unai Emery on Friday.
Freddie Ljungberg Further Added:

The Swede said: "I haven't had that word with them but that's how it works for me. I've been here for three months and last year I was with the Under-23s so I saw every first-team game so I have an opinion of how we can play but I try to see it as everyone has a fair chance.
It’s an interesting answer and one that will surely raise further questions about the Ivorian’s slow start to life in North London.
Perhaps the frustration felt with Unai Emery meant it was easy to point the finger at him for not using the winger, but if Freddie is also raising some doubts, perhaps there are issues behind the scenes we’re not aware of.

Pepe has played 785 of a potential 1260 Premier League minutes so far this season, some of which can be put down to his late arrival, and a summer in which he didn’t have a proper pre-season.
But its December now, so fitness issues should be a consideration, and he’s played just 58 minutes in total of our last four league games. He was also left on the bench for the duration of our 2-1 Europa League defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt last week.
It does suggest there’s work to do, both on the player’s side and the club in order to figure out how to get the best out a player that costs so much money, but for now, it remains an unhappy time all concerned.

Premier League: Granit Xhaka deserves respect and is 100 percent professional claims former Gunner

Premier League: Granit Xhaka deserves respect and is 100 percent professional claims former Gunner

Stephan Lichtsteiner comes out in support of Granit Xhaka and opines on what went wrong with Unai Emery. Lichtsteiner claims that Emery struggled with Arsenal’s big stars and insists that Xhaka deserves respect. Football fanatics from around the world can obtain Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.
Former Arsenal manager, Emery may have retained his job beyond last week if the Spaniard was able to deal with the big-name stars at Arsenal, according to Stephan Lichtsteiner. Emery was fired after a poor run of form, but he fell out with most of his players and some reports even claimed that he lost the dressing room before he was fired.

“I’d say he is a good trainer, a good coach, but maybe he struggled with the top players,” Lichtsteiner told

“With the big players, he hasn’t maybe the relationship to bring more out [of them] and get the top performances. Maybe that point I can say something negative, but the rest was almost everything positive.”
Stephan Lichtsteiner left Arsenal but still speaking for Xhaka:
The current Augsburg defender left the Emirates stadium after just a season but he was one of the most underperforming players during his stint at the Emirates. He also weighed in on Xhaka’s meltdown and is convinced that the former Arsenal captain deserves more respect.

“I understand both sides, you know? I understand the fans, because there is an ambition and they want to win,” he said. “They are not happy, of course, but I understand Granit also because this [reaction] is just human. He deserves more respect, because he gives everything for Arsenal. I see how he works; he is 100 per cent professional.

“On the other side, the bigger the club is the bigger the pressure. As a football player, you need to manage that pressure because it’s part of the game.

“It’s normal in football, especially when you are at a big club, this pressure, so it’s completely human what has happened with Granit but I hope for him, and for Arsenal, that they are going to find a good solution. It’s important for the team and for him also.”
Lichtsteiner opinion may fall on deaf ears

I am not sure that Lichtsteiner has the respect or gravitas for the Arsenal fans to listen to him. He was utterly dreadful in an Arsenal shirt and did not exactly put his body on the line. I also suspect that many will disagree with him about respecting Xhaka, not after he swore at the fans.

Premier League: Freddie’s insightful presser gives hope ahead of Brighton

Premier League: Freddie’s insightful presser gives hope ahead of Brighton

As a football fan, you always look for the hole in a new situation and before the Norwich game, I think we all did, as we backed Freddie, hoping for an instant turnaround. Football activists from around the world can get Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its spectacular performances.
Of course, it wasn’t to be and yet again we saw some pretty shoddy defending that cost us all three points as well as a second-half in which we once again made a relegation-threatened side look pretty nifty indeed.
So there was a wee bit of despondency I included on Monday morning as we realize that actually we just have a collective of players who are so out of form and playing badly, even if there were a few positives, which Freddie pointed out in his press conference.
But I tell you what, I have read the transcript of his presser yesterday and I must say, I found myself a little heartened by some of the things he said.
Freddie spoke about recognizing that the opposition was winning the eight-yard sprint battle, which is where we were getting done on Sunday, then talking about how he knows how to correct that.

Some of it might even be played changes because sometimes you can’t change the DNA of a player. For example, Guendouzi and Xhaka aren’t winning any sprint races when the ball transitions from the attacking third back towards our defensive third.
Guidance to some players:
Maybe you can teach Guendouzi or Xhaka not to sit so high so they don’t get embroiled in a foot race. Or maybe you can bring one out in the place of somebody who can. Either way, if you have at least acknowledged and been public about what went wrong, you’re at least showing the world that you have the knowledge and belief you can easily correct it.
And that’s what gives me cause for optimism this morning. In one press conference, Freddie has given us more than in 18 months of Unai Emery. Perhaps there was a communication issue, perhaps Unai did talk about this stuff but it just didn’t get picked up at these press conferences.
But I was just pleased to hear a coach looking at correcting errors in his team, rather than talking about how we are in a ‘process’ or some other nonsense like that. I’m digging into Unai a bit and before I started writing this morning I said to myself that I wouldn’t bother.
That I’d take the approach of Ljungberg yesterday and say “that was then, we must look forward”, but it’s hard not to read those snippets of the Swede talking about his approach and wonder if communication by Emery was not his biggest downfall.

Imagine if he’s just been in a training session with the players and they’ve just heard that kind of Intel, rather than Emery and the notorious video that we saw of him repeatedly saying “calm! Calm! Calm” There really isn’t a comparison and my hope for tomorrow is that we start to see a difference at home to Brighton. In the last Premier League game against Norwich City, new Arsenal boss Freddie Ljungberg refused to bring on Nicolas Pepe, the club’s record signing.
He also referenced the data he’s been looking at which seemed to show that we were better in getting behind Norwich than we have been all season and, once again, you hear things like that and start to believe that he has a plan for us to be more attacking.
Freddie’s Opinion:
We can’t defend as it is so we might as well go ‘gung-ho’ in my opinion. Let’s see if we can flood teams with our attacking talent. Unai promised that when he arrived and delivered little evidence of it. Freddie has a chance to be a man of his word.

And words might be something he has with Wenger soon. He also said he’s going to talk to his old boss and for me, that’s a good sign too. Whatever we thought of Wenger’s last couple of years, his philosophy has always been the same and if he can impart some knowledge on Freddie and give some advice then that sounds good to me.
He doesn’t pick the team, half the players aren’t really Wenger players anymore, and he’s been away from the club for a long enough time that his influence has waned, so why wouldn’t you want to lean on some pearls of wisdom from one of Arsenal’s most successful managers?
I hope that call goes in soon and I hope it results in some useful nuggets that can be translated into the attacking ethos of our team. We need it. We need it fast. There’s still probably another training session to be had today by Freddie and hopefully, they’re going through this fantastical new attacking approach that we’ve been hoping for.

And I hope they’re ready for Brighton at home. It’s time we got back to winning ways. Catch y’all tomorrow. Maybe – I have my work Christmas party so depending on how much like death warmed up I feel like, I may or may not be kinder to stare at my phone for 45 minutes in the morning.

Premier League: Are Arsenal’s problems due to the coach or the management

Premier League: Are Arsenal’s problems due to the coach or the management

Last weekend, while watching our game against Norwich, I overheard two passionate Arsenal fans discussing Arsenal and what they felt the problem was. Football fans from around the world can attain Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its astonishing performances.
While one posited that Arsenal’s problem was that of a good coach; the other felt getting a new coach would not solve our problems. According to him, Arsenal’s problems can be addressed with the transfer window.
He strongly felt Arsenal knew how to solve the problems but they are refusing to do just that, for reasons best known to them. Now, let us analyze it this way; why would a fan feel the board of directors at Arsenal is intentionally refusing to solve the very visible problems at the club.

It is a case of trying to be financially prudent at the expense of building a title-winning team. Or is it just a case of the board of directors being too scared of Arsenal’s success and losing the team to a richer investor?
When Wenger was the coach of Arsenal, every transfer window was not adequately utilized; we were either over-strengthening a part of the team at the expense of other departments, or we ended up not signing any player at all.
Wenger’s tenure:

We have had press conferences in the past where Arsene Wenger would say we had the money to buy players but could not find the quality needed to improve the team. What an excuse! Funny!!!
Fast forward to when Emery was the coach of Arsenal; Emery was still in charge of coaching Arsenal at last transfer window but we never signed the quality defender we needed. Was this a fault of Emery, or the board of directors not just supporting the coach enough. Your guess is as good a guess as mine.
Now, let us face the truth. Nobody wants to be restricted in his or her discharge of duties and that includes football coaches. When you employ somebody, you give the person the necessary tools needed to work.

Fine, clubs are taking transfer decisions away from the coaches; but even at that, the coaches should be considered, when signing or buying players. We don’t want a case whereby a coach may refuse to work with certain players because he didn’t sign them.
While searching for a good coach to train our players, let us also be ready to support our coach with the right set of players needed to succeed.

Premier League: Real to offer Rodriguez and £70m for Aubameyang

Premier League: Real to offer Rodriguez and £70m for Aubameyang

Arsenal will reportedly be offered the chance to sign James Rodriguez as part of a £70m deal that would see Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang join Real Madrid. Football activists from around the world can get Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its spectacular performances.
According to reports in Spain, as cited on Sky Sports, the Spanish giants are ready to offer a cash-plus-player deal in order to convince the Gunners to sell.
Aubameyang has been heavily linked with moves away from the Emirates at the end of the season if the club fails to qualify for the Champions League.
Rodriguez has been out of favor since returning to Real following a two-year loan spell with Bayern Munich.

READ ARSENAL VERDICT
This style of deal would leave Arsenal in a problematic position. With £70 million on the table, it’s fair to say the Gunners might struggle to recoup any more than that for a player who will turn 31 next year.
Said funds could be invaluable too if the club do not finish inside the top four and make the Champions League places.
However, the idea of swapping Aubameyang for James Rodriguez isn’t exactly an appealing one for fans.
Not only does it not solve the dilemma of Arsenal needing to replace Aubameyang, but Rodriguez, who is valued at £45 million, has struggled in recent years to replicate some of his best form at the top.
He has often looked a shadow of the player that dazzled for Colombia at the 2014 World Cup.

Perhaps a move to Arsenal, where he could potentially become ‘the main man’ would reinvigorate him into realizing the talent that he clearly has but that doesn’t make it any less of a risk for the Gunners.

Premier League: Young inexperienced coach emerges as Arsenal manager

Premier League: Young inexperienced coach emerges as Arsenal manager

Arsenal legend emerges as a top target to be the next permanent Arsenal manager. Arsenal finally fired Unai Emery last Friday after several calls from fans for them to show the former Sevilla boss the door. Football fans from around the world can obtain Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.
Freddie Ljungberg has since taken over as their head coach on an interim basis. The Swede helped them pick up a point in their game against Norwich on his managerial debut last weekend.
However, reports claiming that the club has made Patrick Vieira their top target to be their next permanent manager.

The 43-year-old is an Arsenal legend who has been building a career for himself as a manager. He currently manages Nice in the French top flight and has a contract there until the summer of 2021.
Arsenal has had a look at the likes of Mikel Arteta, Carlo Ancelotti, Brendan Rodgers, among others, but the report claims that Viera is the club’s top target right now.
Viera had commented on Emery at the weekend and admitted that Nice could also fire him too.
Patrick Vieira’s review:
“It’s a very difficult job and I realize that. It’s always sad to see a coach lose his job.
“Today it’s his turn and tomorrow maybe it will be me. When you throw yourselves into this job, you have to expect to be sacked one day.

“There are things I don’t control. People say a lot of things in this industry, whether they’re true or not. I have nothing to say on the matter. Like you, I read things, watch things and listen to things. That’s all. I have never said I wanted to leave Nice!
“Maybe one day I’ll be sacked without wanting to leave Nice. I know where I am and I know where I’m going and it doesn’t bother me.
“It’s true that this evening I would have preferred more questions about the performance of my players rather than on my future.”

Whether this report is true or not is up to each individual to decide for themselves. Personally, I can believe that the board would look at a former player that has some management experience, albeit limited. They could easily be thinking he knows the club’s DNA and is better placed than Ljungberg or even Arteta.
One thing I do know is that they need to resolve this sooner rather than later before it becomes too much of a distraction.

Premier League: One world class manager that Arsenal can cross off their wish list

Premier League: One world class manager that Arsenal can cross off their wish list

Arsenal will miss out on Max Allegri after he rejects the chance to return to management until next June. Any plans Arsenal had to make former Juventus manager, Max Allegri their next manager has to be delayed by at least seven months. Football fans from around the world can attain Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its spectacular performances.
Allegri has been one of Arsenal’s top targets to become their new manager permanently, however, the Italian has ruled out a return to management soon. The Gunners are desperate to get a new permanent manager before they suffer more disaster this season.
Arsenal hasn’t won any of their last nine games despite having two managers in that time. Their latest 2-1 home loss to Brighton has seen them drop down to 10th on the league table and they are desperate to get a solid manager who can turn them into League spot challengers.

Allegri has just left Juventus after 5 years of dominance in the Italian top flight, but he insists that he is not in a hurry to take up his next managerial role. Allegri told: “In June. I don’t know if you can call it a sabbatical or not.
Allegri’s Talk:
“Giovanni Branchini Allegri’s agent and I immediately came to that decision. As soon as the relationship with Juventus came to an end the decision was to take a year out.

“I had 18 years as a player and I’ve been in coaching for 16. I stopped this year after 34. I’m happy.

“I have a chance to reflect, go and talk to people; do things in my private life that I’m passionate about like going to the theatre, some art exhibitions, reading books.

“Next year will be an important year. Important for the choice I end up making and the need to be prepared for it.

“After a year out and five years at Juventus, I don’t want to go back into the game and do badly. That would do my head in.

“I am taking (English) lessons here in Milan. I manage to speak quite well. I find the listening part a bit more difficult.

“If I’m talking to someone who helps me out by speaking a little slower then I understand. I watch films and if I read something in English I understand it fine.”
This was always on the cards and at least we know now that it will not be the Italian taking up the reins at the Emirates. Hopefully, the club has others in mind that can help get us out of the mess we now find ourselves in.

Premier League: Freddie promises to keep working as gloom deepens

Premier League: Freddie promises to keep working as gloom deepens

Freddie Ljungberg says he’ll keep plugging away as he looks to get Arsenal back on track after Brighton became the latest side to take points at the Emirates. Football fanatics from around the world can obtain Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.
Adam Webster’s strike nine minutes before half time was a just reward for the visitors’ early dominance against a Gunners side fraught with nerves.
While we fought back in the second half through Alex Lacazette’s headed equalizer, prospects of a first home win since October were killed off when Neal Maupay beat David Luiz in the box with 10 minutes remaining.
No wins in nine consecutive games represent our worst run of form since 1977. We’re 10th in the table, four points off relegation and ten adrift of the League places. We’ve also conceded 253 shots on goal this season, 15 more than champions Manchester City allowed against them all last season

Afterward, Ljungberg reflected: “If you score the first goal you don’t have to chase the game, you don’t have to open up as much because you can control the game so that’s something that, in my opinion, we need to change that a little bit.
Ljungberg reflected the condition:

“We won the balls but you’re right, when they ran at us it often ends with a shot on target. We’ve had one training session but we’ll keep on working.
He added: “It’s never easy when you sack a manager and you’re low on confidence.

“We started really well at Norwich. We started the second half really well and I was sure we were going to win the game and get going again.

“We get a sucker punch on a counter or as they play down one side. It’s hard to take but we keep plugging away.”

The fact that the club sacked Emery without a clear plan about what to do next, doesn’t bode particularly well. It’s almost like they were completely blind to the problems under the Spaniard until the ‘noise’ grew too much for them to ignore.

Since a week ago, a huge number of names have been touted to take the head coach role on a permanent basis, including Ljungberg’s. He says he’ll do whatever the club asks of him.

“It’s up to the club and what they want to do,” he said.

“There’s nothing I can get involved with I said I love this football club and I’ll help them with whatever they need help with and it’s up to them to make a decision.”

Premier League: When will Arsenal start winning at home at least

Premier League: When will Arsenal start winning at home at least

Every football team always prides itself in its home form; a team may lose games away, but when it comes to playing at home, every team always wants to win; especially the big teams. Football fanatics from around the world can obtain Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.
Every team wants to win at home in front of their own fans; they want to hear their fans shout for joy whenever a goal is scored. Unfortunately, Arsenal cannot guarantee its fans such joy for now.
Where did it all go wrong? Why have we suddenly lost our invincibility at home? Gone are the Highbury days, when we crushed any team that came to our home. We showed no mercy in beating teams badly in front of our home fans; especially Premiership teams.
Then, any team coming to play Arsenal on their home turf would do so with so much fear and respect. These days, how do teams approach games against us on our ground? I wish I could tell you. Ever since we changed our home ground from Highbury to the Emirates….

We have found it difficult to maintain our record of winning at home. Teams have come to the Emirates to steal away precious points; they have come to Arsenal to wipe off the smiles from the mouths of Arsenal fans.
Arsenal fallen:
Teams no longer come to Arsenal with fear; rather they play Arsenal at home with the belief that they can win, and they often win. Oh my, how much has Arsenal fallen?
Our away form, for a while now, has been nothing to write home about but if we can’t get it right away, then why do we find it hard to get it right at home? I look forward to that time we will start winning at home again.
I look forward to that time we will make our home ground uncomfortable to the likes of Liverpool and Brighton. I look forward to that time every Arsenal fan can brag and make so much noise when we are playing at home because they know their team will not let them down.

Losing at home to teams like Frankfurt and Brighton is highly unacceptable and the Arsenal board needs to let this sink into their hearts if they eventually get to read my appeal.
We need to change drastically and we are appealing to Arsenal to please wake up and stop being a sleeping giant and at least start winning at home…

Premier League: Marcelino travels to London and Niko Kovac also in town

Premier League: Marcelino travels to London and Niko Kovac also in town

According to a report Marcelino travelled to London yesterday for what were rumored to be discussions with Arsenal about the vacant post of head coach. Football fanatics from around the world can obtain Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.
The Gunners are whittling down their shortlist of 643 names as they seek a replacement for Unai Emery who was fired the week before last. The former Valencia coach is one of the names on that list as we reported last week and his visit to London will add fuel to that particular fire.
It’s suggested in the article that he cannot manage another Spanish team this season, perhaps due to some contractual restriction over the terms of his departure from Valencia with whom he won the Copa del Rey last season.

He is also rumored to be in the frame for the Everton job as they look for somebody to replace Marco Silva. Meanwhile, Croatian Niko Kovac watched the Toffees beat Chelsea 3-1 on Saturday.
And he is expected to be at the London Stadium tonight, leading to speculation regarding him and the Arsenal job. The former Bayern Munich boss stepped down from his position at his former club in November, after a similar tenure there to Emery’s at Arsenal.
Marcelino Performances:
He did win a league and cup double in his full season in charge there, and crucially for a hierarchy that is not inclined to pay to extract a manager/coach from a position they currently hold, he is immediately available.
Kovac has also managed the Croatian national team, and Eintracht Frankfurt. Other reports suggest that Edu is pushing for former teammate Patrick Vieira to be given the job. On Friday, the current Nice coach said swatted away rumors linking him with a return to North London, saying,

“I get the feeling that it disturbs you more than me or the club. There is nothing to say about it, there is nothing serious, nothing real. I have no comments to make about that.”
Nice were 4-1 winners over Metz on Saturday, but have won just three of their last eleven games in Ligue 1 and currently sit 13th in the table.

Premier League: West Ham 1-3 Arsenal morale-building comeback win for the lads

Premier League: West Ham 1-3 Arsenal morale-building comeback win for the lads

West Ham 1-3 Arsenal – Arsenal FC had to come back from a 1-0 half time deficit to record a long-awaited win. The team selected by Freddie Ljungberg looked very decent. Football fans from around the world can attain Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its dazzling performances.
The omens did not look good when Hector Bellerin had to pull out while warming up to be replaced by Ainsley Maitland-Niles. It got a whole lot worse when Kieran Tierney had to go off with what looked like a shoulder injury.
Arsenal dominated possession in the first half but did not show any sense of urgency; in fact, they showed very little, no creativity, too much sideways passing and lingering on the ball. West Ham, on the other hand, looked far more energetic when they got the ball and offered far more in the attack.
It was, therefore, no surprise when they went ahead on the 38th minute with a slightly dodgy goal that VAR determined was not scored with the arm but rather the shoulder of Ogbonna.

The truth is, it was another very poor first-half display from the Gunners. You would have thought that they would come out with all guns blazing in the second half. They did not. West Ham had the upper hand until the 60th minute when Martinelli slotted home from a pass from Kolasinac.
Special goal:
Now it was game on. The game then started to flow from end to end and for the first time in the game, Arsenal started to look very dangerous going forward. Then it came on the 66th minute, a special goal from Nicholas Pepe. He finally showed the class he possesses in abundance.
Aubameyang passed the ball to his right and Pepe stepped inside a curled a beauty to the right of the Hammers keeper. Arsenal now had the upper hand and just three minutes later Pepe and Aubameyang combined once again.
This time it was the Ivorian that was the provider and Auba whacked it in on the half volley. Arsenal continued to look the more dangerous and West Ham did not offer up much as the game continued, truth is told.

There are still some significant problems, this win does not cover them up but the lads showed character and this could easily be a turning point. They need to build on this win and confidence will have been lifted. The fans will certainly be happier tonight, it has been a long time coming.

Premier League: Some Arsenal fans are delighted with 24-year-old’s display vs West Ham

Premier League: Some Arsenal fans are delighted with 24-year-old’s display vs West Ham

‘Love him’, ‘Absolute baler’, some Arsenal fans are pleased with 24-year-old’s display vs West Ham. Some Arsenal supporters have hailed the contribution of Nicolas Pepe. Football fans from around the world can attain Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its dazzling performances.
During the club’s 3-1 comeback win over West Ham United in the Premier League on Monday night. The north London giants managed to put an end to their nine-match winless run across all competitions but the performance was far from impressive in the first half.
Though the Gunners commanded the vast share of the possession, they failed to test goalkeeper David Martin for the first 45 minutes and eventually went into the break trailing by one goal.

After the interval, the Hammers started as the brighter side but there was a sudden shift in momentum right at the hour mark after Gabriel Martinelli scored on his full Premier League debut for the Gunners.
Pepe’s special goal:
Shortly after, Pepe took it upon himself to give the Gunners the lead as he found the net with a superb curling effort, and that was his first goal from open play for the club.
Few moments later, Pepe contributed with the cross which was slightly deflected into the path of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and the club-captain ensured the victory with his 11th goal of the Premier League campaign.
Pepe, similarly to most of his teammates, could not create anything in the first half but his game-changing display after the break has certainly earned him plenty of praise from the Gunners fans.

Arsenal has moved to the top half of the Premier League standings with the victory and they are now within seven points off the final Champions League spot occupied by Chelsea.
Next up, they have an away Europa League clash at Standard Liege on Thursday night before a testing Premier League game at home against Manchester City. The defensive performance surely needs to improve further ahead of the Citizens encounter this weekend.

Premier League: Portuguese manager’s representatives confirms Arsenal talks are underway

Premier League: Portuguese manager’s representatives confirms Arsenal talks are underway

Arsenal’s efforts to replace the recently departed Unai Emery may be getting close to the finish line. As per reports from the Express, the representatives of French club Bordeaux’s manager Paulo Sousa have confirmed that the North London club is in talks with him. Football fans from around the world can attain Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its dazzling performances.
And the suggestion is that if the manager was to get an offer, he would be seriously interested in joining the Gunners. The representatives were quoted by L’Equipe as they said:
“They like his profile, not just as a coach but also as a person. This does not mean that he will leave.

“They are in talks with multiple candidates but Paulo is part of that list, certainly. Between the two, it could work.
“But with all the problems currently ongoing at Bordeaux, why wouldn’t he leave?. The project is not what was promised to him that is a fact.”
The good news for the fans is that the club is looking to get a new manager as soon possible and have already identified a list of probable.
Sousa’s Services:
Sousa has been the manager of the French club since March of this year when he took over from Ricardo Gomes. Though his job at Bordeaux is not under threat, the lure of managing the Gunners could prove to be too good to turn down.
One factor that might be in favor of Sousa is that his release clause is at £2.5m which would not be a significant investment for Arsenal to be making. The objective for the North London club is to get back into the Champions League.

Arsenal faces a tough fight to get back to European contention as they are a long way off the League spots at the moment.
Everyone associated with the club will be hoping that whoever the new manager happens to be, will turn a new leaf as far as the club is concerned. Getting to that stage may be difficult but it is good to see the board making some moves.
