The Life of the American Woman

Bohomamma had intended to gather photographs of those killed by firearm violence in our country. Our effort was meant as a reflection of the stories we read in our daily papers. The headlines pronounce gut-wrenching life circumstances, but are lacking in regard to details of the life.

The answer to the simple question in that headline is surprisingly hard to come by. So Slate is collecting data for our crowdsourced interactive.
